# Catalog Snapshot Guard — Supplier CSV Batch Review (`ysoserious_h/catalog-snapshot-guard`) Actor

Check recurring supplier CSV batches against an explicit feed profile. Preserve raw SKUs, isolate ambiguous groups, and return HTML and JSON evidence with source-line references before your own import process.

## Pricing

from $250.00 / 1,000 completed audits

This Actor is paid per event and usage. You are charged both the fixed price for specific events and for Apify platform usage.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Catalog Snapshot Guard — Supplier CSV Batch Review

Receive another CSV from the same supplier? Reuse a confirmed feed profile and get a reviewable record of what this batch supports—and what needs a person to check.

Catalog Snapshot Guard runs deterministic Python checks. Supply current CSV text, an explicit profile, and optional previous CSV text. The profile declares exact columns, variant identity, currency, number format, quantity units and snapshot completeness. It does not infer these rules for you.

The report keeps raw identifiers such as `0007` and `7` distinct. Ambiguity holds the affected product group for review. Missing-group and missing-variant findings are available only when both snapshots are declared complete and meet the comparison conditions; otherwise those counts are not evaluated.

Open `REPORT_HTML` for a readable report and `REPORT_JSON` for the full machine-readable evidence in the run's key-value store. `OUTPUT` identifies the report records. Both reports retain source fields and line references. Treat them as confidential as your source feed.

This checks your declared profile. It does not import into a store, correct your feed, fetch images, compare price or inventory changes, or authorize deletion. A clean report does not establish supplier completeness or successful import.

Hosted input is limited to 2 MiB total canonical UTF-8 JSON, with a 64 KiB profile limit and the documented record/field limits. CSV must be UTF-8 and comma-delimited. Your data is processed and stored on Apify; this is not an offline service. The audit uses no language model and fetches no source URLs. Access and retention depend on the platform and your settings.

### Pricing

$0.25 for one completed audit, plus separately billed Apify platform usage. Clean reports and reports requiring review are both completed audits. Invalid input and incomplete report delivery do not incur the completed-audit event fee; platform usage may still apply. A separately requested new run is a new audit.

All included examples are synthetic. They are not customer cases or evidence of savings. Maintained by Ysoserious, the product's publisher.

# Actor input Schema

## `current_csv` (type: `string`):

UTF-8 comma-delimited source text. Raw SKU values are preserved.

## `profile` (type: `object`):

Profile schema version 1. Choose group/SKU columns, full options (or explicit \[]), currency, numeric separators, quantity unit, SKU-sharing policy, and completeness.

## `previous_csv` (type: `string`):

Missing-identity comparison requires both snapshots explicitly complete, nonempty and trusted.

## Actor input object example

```json
{}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `htmlReport` (type: `string`):

Readable audit report with source fields and line references.

## `jsonReport` (type: `string`):

Full machine-readable audit evidence.

## `outputMetadata` (type: `string`):

Report keys, hashes and summary for this run.

# API

You can run this Actor programmatically using our API. Below are code examples in JavaScript, Python, and CLI, as well as the OpenAPI specification and MCP server setup.

## JavaScript example

```javascript
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
// Initialize the ApifyClient with your Apify API token
// Replace the '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>' with your token
const client = new ApifyClient({
    token: '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>',
});
// Prepare Actor input
const input = {};
// Run the Actor and wait for it to finish
const run = await client.actor("ysoserious_h/catalog-snapshot-guard").call(input);
// Fetch and print Actor results from the run's dataset (if any)
console.log('Results from dataset');
console.log(`💾 Check your data here: https://console.apify.com/storage/datasets/${run.defaultDatasetId}`);
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
items.forEach((item) => {
    console.dir(item);
});
