## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Webmotors Scraper: Brazil car listings, dealers and prices

Scrape **Webmotors** (webmotors.com.br), Brazil's biggest car marketplace, by **make, model, state and city**. Every listing comes with the **make, model, version, model year, mileage, price in reais, the price as a percentage of the FIPE table, gearbox, fuel, body type, colour, all photos, the seller's description** and the **dealer's name, city, address and CEP**. Filter by year, price, mileage, gearbox, fuel, body type, new or used, and seller type. Dealers only by default. No login, no cookies, no Webmotors account.

### What you get

| | |
|---|---|
| **Car** | Make, model, version, model year and year built, km, colour, doors, engine, power, drive, body type, armoured, auction history |
| **Price** | Asking price (BRL), **FIPE %** (100 = FIPE table price), "good deal" flag, financing estimate |
| **Listing** | Listing URL, condition (new / used), attributes such as *IPVA pago*, *Licenciado*, *Único dono*, *Aceita troca*, promotions |
| **Photos** | Main photo and every photo URL |
| **Dealer** | Name, type (*Concessionária* / *Loja*), street address, neighbourhood, city, state, CEP, WhatsApp contact available |
| **Description** | The seller's own text (with e-mail addresses and phone numbers removed) |

### How to use it

1. Add one or more **vehicles**: a make (`Fiat`) or a make and model (`Volkswagen Gol`, `Toyota Corolla Cross`, `Jeep Compass`).
2. Optionally add **locations**: a state (`SP`, `Minas Gerais`) or a city with its state (`Campinas - SP`, `Belo Horizonte, MG`). Leave empty for all of Brazil.
3. Set **Max listings** and any filters, then run.

Each vehicle is searched in each location. **Max listings** is the total for the run, shared fairly between your searches.

#### Input examples

Used Corollas from 2020 on, under R$ 130,000, in Rio de Janeiro state:

```json
{
  "vehicles": ["Toyota Corolla"],
  "locations": ["RJ"],
  "yearFrom": 2020,
  "priceMax": 130000,
  "maxItems": 100
}
```

Every pickup from franchised dealers in three cities:

```json
{
  "vehicles": ["Fiat Strada", "Volkswagen Saveiro", "Chevrolet Montana"],
  "locations": ["Campinas - SP", "Curitiba - PR", "Goiânia - GO"],
  "sellerTypes": ["dealer"],
  "maxItems": 500
}
```

A whole make across Brazil, more than 10,000 listings (split by state and city automatically):

```json
{
  "vehicles": ["Jeep"],
  "maxItems": 20000
}
```

You can also paste search pages from webmotors.com.br into **Webmotors search URLs** (for example `https://www.webmotors.com.br/carros/sp/volkswagen/gol?precoate=50000`); price, km, seller-type and gearbox filters in the URL are kept.

Every row has the same columns; a value the listing doesn't state is `null`.

### Use cases

- **Car pricing and FIPE analysis**: compare asking prices with the FIPE table by model, year, km and state.
- **Dealer lead lists**: franchised and independent dealers with their address, city and stock.
- **Inventory monitoring**: schedule a daily run to track what a dealer group or a model has in stock and at what price.
- **Market research**: supply and pricing by region, body type, fuel or gearbox.
- **Resellers and importers**: find under-priced cars (low FIPE %) across Brazil.

### FAQ

**Do I need a Webmotors account, cookies or a login?** No. The scraper reads the same public search results any visitor sees on webmotors.com.br. It never logs in and needs nothing from you except a search.

**Why dealers only by default?** Most buyers of this data want dealer stock. You can add private sellers under **Seller types**; their listings are included anonymised: city and state only, never a name, account id, address or CEP.

**How many listings can I get?** Webmotors shows at most 10,000 listings for one search. When you ask for more than that, the scraper splits your search by state (and a big state by city) on its own and charges it as one search. Set **Max listings** to 0 to get everything.

**Why are some listings "read" but not saved?** Price, mileage, gearbox, fuel, body type, new/used and seller type are checked on every listing after it is downloaded, so only listings that match are saved — and only those are charged. Very narrow filters on a broad search read more pages; add a make, model or location to keep runs fast.

**What if a model is spelled differently on Webmotors?** The scraper checks what Webmotors recognised. A model written differently (`T Cross`, `Golf GTI`) is matched to Webmotors' own name automatically (for `Golf GTI`: model GOLF, versions containing GTI). A search Webmotors doesn't recognise at all is skipped, not charged, and named in the run's status message.

**How fast is it?** About 100 listings per second-long request: 1,000 listings take roughly 15–30 seconds.

**Which proxy should I use?** Keep the default (Apify Proxy, datacenter). It comes with every Apify plan, including the free one. If Webmotors refuses datacenter IPs for a while, the run switches to residential proxies when your account has them, and carries on without them when it doesn't.

**What does a run cost?** You pay per listing saved, per search, and a small fee per run. See the Pricing tab. Listings filtered out are never charged.

**Is it legal to scrape Webmotors?** This Actor only collects publicly available data: car listings that anyone can see on webmotors.com.br without an account, such as the car, its price, photos and the selling dealer's business details. Collecting publicly available data is generally legal, but you're responsible for how you use it. Private sellers' listings are only included if you ask for them, and then without their name, account id, address or CEP; descriptions have e-mail addresses and phone numbers removed. You must follow privacy laws such as the LGPD, GDPR and CCPA, as well as Webmotors' terms. If you're unsure, check with a lawyer. More on this: [Is web scraping legal?](https://blog.apify.com/is-web-scraping-legal/)

**Does it access any private data?** No. Everything comes from search results Webmotors shows to any visitor without logging in. It never uses a login, never contacts sellers and follows the site's robots.txt (it never opens the listing pages or filter URLs that robots.txt asks crawlers to avoid).

This Actor is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Webmotors S.A. "Webmotors" is a trademark of its owner, used here only to describe the data the Actor works with.

# Actor input Schema

## `vehicles` (type: `array`):

Make, or make and model, as you would type them on Webmotors, e.g. "Volkswagen Gol", "Toyota Corolla Cross", "Jeep Compass", "Fiat". Each vehicle is searched separately (and in each location). A model Webmotors spells differently ("T Cross", "Golf GTI") is matched to its own name automatically.

## `locations` (type: `array`):

States ("SP", "Minas Gerais") or cities with their state ("Campinas - SP", "Belo Horizonte, MG"). Leave empty to search all of Brazil.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of listings for the whole run, shared fairly between your searches (a search that finds fewer leaves its share to the others). 0 = everything. Webmotors shows at most 10,000 listings per search; above that the run splits the search by state and city automatically.

## `sellerTypes` (type: `array`):

Franchised dealers (Concessionária) and independent dealers (Loja) by default. Add "Private sellers" to include listings by private individuals (Pessoa Física) — they are anonymised: city and state only, no name, id, address or ZIP code.

## `yearFrom` (type: `integer`):

Oldest model year, e.g. 2018.

## `yearTo` (type: `integer`):

Newest model year.

## `priceMin` (type: `integer`):

Lowest price in reais.

## `priceMax` (type: `integer`):

Highest price in reais.

## `kmMax` (type: `integer`):

Highest odometer reading in km.

## `transmissions` (type: `array`):

Empty = all.

## `fuels` (type: `array`):

Read from the version name ("1.0 FLEX", "2.0 TDI DIESEL"). Empty = all.

## `bodyTypes` (type: `array`):

As Webmotors names them, e.g. "Hatchback", "Sedã", "Utilitário esportivo" (SUV), "Picape". Empty = all.

## `condition` (type: `string`):

Only new (0 km) or only used cars.

## `startUrls` (type: `array`):

Optional: search pages copied from webmotors.com.br, e.g. https://www.webmotors.com.br/carros/sp/volkswagen/gol. Price, km, seller type and gearbox filters in the URL are kept.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Apify Proxy (datacenter) is the default and comes with every Apify plan. If Webmotors refuses datacenter IPs for a while, the run switches to residential proxies when your account has them.
