## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## UK New Companies – Companies House Incorporations Feed

Get a **daily feed of newly incorporated UK companies** from **Companies House**. Each row has the company number, name, status, type, incorporation date, registered office address and **SIC codes**. Filter by SIC code (industry), registered-office location (town or postcode), name, company type and status. Schedule it with **New since last run** for a fresh lead list every morning.

No API key or login is required. It reads the official public Companies House advanced search.

### Who uses it

- **Accountants, bookkeepers, VAT and payroll firms**: new companies need an accountant in their first weeks.
- **Business banks, insurers, web designers, office and telecom suppliers, merchant services.**
- **Recruiters and B2B agencies**: target new businesses by sector and region.
- Replaces paid daily-leads services (NewCo Data, NewcoHunter, Brink Leads) for a fraction of the cost.

### Input example

```json
{
  "daysBack": 1,
  "sicCodes": [
    "62012",
    "62020"
  ],
  "location": "Manchester",
  "newSinceLastRun": true,
  "stateKey": "mcr-it",
  "maxItems": 500
}
```

### Output

See `sample-output.json` for real rows. The dataset has a table view, and you can export to CSV, Excel or JSON, or use the API, Zapier, Make or Google Sheets. A run summary is saved to the `OUTPUT_SUMMARY` key-value record.

### Notes

- \~2,000–3,000 companies incorporate per working day. The actor walks one day at a time so it never hits deep-paging limits.
- Many new companies use formation-agent addresses (e.g. 71-75 Shelton Street, London). Filter by `location` to reduce them.
- Directors aren't included (that needs the officers endpoint). Planned for v0.2 via the free official API key.

### Pricing

Pay per result: **$0.002 per row** ($2.00 per 1,000). If a run finds nothing, you pay almost nothing.

Built by Yuval Studios. Uses public government data. Not affiliated with any government agency.
