## Pricing

from $28.00 / 1,000 analyzed videos

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## TikTok Video Script Analyzer: hooks, on-screen text, beats and CTAs from any TikTok (no login)

Turn any **TikTok video into its script**: the **words said** (with timestamps), the **text shown on screen** (read from the video's frames, so **silent videos work too**), the **hook** and its **hook type**, the **beats** with their times, the **call to action**, the **format**, topics, a summary, takeaways and **why it works**, with the video's **plays, likes, comments, shares and saves**.

Give **video links**, or **creators**: their latest videos are scored against the **creator's median plays** and the **top outliers** are analysed, so you study the videos that beat their normal. For **creators, agencies, brands and content strategists**. No login.

### What you get

| Field | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Script | `transcript`, `segments` (timed), `hasSpeech`, `language`, `spokenHook` |
| On-screen text | `onScreenText` with start and end seconds |
| Hook | `hook` (spoken, on-screen, `type`, `endsAtSeconds`) and `hookType` |
| Structure | `structure`: beats with times and a one-line summary |
| Call to action | `cta` and `ctaType` |
| Strategy | `format`, `topics`, `summary`, `takeaways`, `entities`, `whyItWorks` |
| Performance | `plays`, `likes`, `comments`, `shares`, `saves`, and for creators `outlierScore`, `creatorMedianPlays`, `creatorVideosRead` |
| The video | `url`, `author`, `createdAt`, `durationSeconds`, `caption`, `hashtags`, `music`, `coverUrl` |

### What people use it for

- **Swipe files:** hooks, beats and CTAs of the videos that worked
- **Outlier research:** a creator's top videos against their own median, analysed
- **Scripts and briefs:** a timed outline for your next video
- **Silent videos:** text-on-screen tips and recipes written out
- **AI agents:** TikTok analysis inside any workflow

### How to use it

1. Paste **TikTok video links**, or add **creators**.
2. For creators, set how many latest videos to score and how many top outliers to analyse.
3. Click **Start**, then open the **Video scripts** table.

### Input

| Field | Example | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Video links | `https://www.tiktok.com/@user/video/...` | Short links work |
| Creators | `username` | Their top outliers are analysed |
| Latest videos per creator | `20` | Scoring is free |
| Analyse the top | `5` | Per creator |
| Write the analysis in | English | Or the video's own language |

### Output

Each result is one row in the run's dataset (download it as JSON, CSV, Excel, XML or HTML, or read it through the API). An example row (values shortened):

```json
{
  "kind": "video",
  "author": "example.creator",
  "plays": 165800,
  "outlierScore": 11.76,
  "creatorMedianPlays": 14100,
  "hasSpeech": true,
  "hookType": "visual",
  "hook": {
    "spoken": "Welcome to Africa.",
    "onScreen": null,
    "type": "visual"
  },
  "format": "voiceover_broll",
  "onScreenText": [
    {
      "start": 3.8,
      "end": 4.5,
      "text": "Welcome..."
    }
  ],
  "summary": "A trailer for a wildlife series…"
}
```

From a run on 17 October 2026 (a nature-media creator, name removed): of its latest 10 videos, the top one had 165,800 plays against a median of 14,100 (11.76x); its analysis found a visual hook with the line "Welcome to Africa.", 13 on-screen text cards and 5 beats; the second was silent and was read from its frames. Both took 69 seconds. A record named `SUMMARY` in the run's key-value store says what each input returned and what was charged.

### Pricing

- **$0.035 per analysed video** ($35 per 1,000), with its transcript, on-screen text, hook, beats, CTA, format, topics and summary
- Scoring a creator's latest videos is free; videos that could not be analysed are free
- The AI model that watches the video (Google's Gemini Flash) is billed by Apify at its exact cost: about $0.013 a video on paid Apify plans (measured 17 October 2026 on short videos of 30 to 73 seconds); Apify charges free-plan accounts 10 times that

What typical jobs cost at the list price:

| Job | Cost |
|---|---|
| One video | $0.035 |
| A creator's top 5 outliers | $0.18 |
| 10 creators, top 5 each | $1.75 |
| 100 videos | $3.50 |

On Apify's Scale and Business plans the per-event prices are lower (Store discounts). Set **Maximum cost per run** and the Actor stops cleanly when it is reached: you never pay more than that.

### Tips

- Analyse a creator's top outliers, not their latest videos: that is where the lessons are.
- Count `hookType` and `format` across a niche to see what wins.
- Silent videos are read from their frames: `onScreenText` holds the whole tip.

### Use it through the API

**Python**

```python
from apify_client import ApifyClient
client = ApifyClient("<YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN>")
run = client.actor("zaiq/tiktok-video-script-analyzer").call(run_input={"creators": ["username"], "latestPerCreator": 20, "analyseTopPerCreator": 5})
for row in client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).iterate_items():
    print(row)
```

**JavaScript**

```js
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
const client = new ApifyClient({ token: '<YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN>' });
const run = await client.actor('zaiq/tiktok-video-script-analyzer').call({"creators": ["username"], "latestPerCreator": 20, "analyseTopPerCreator": 5});
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
```

**HTTP (one call, results back)**

```bash
curl -X POST 'https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/zaiq~tiktok-video-script-analyzer/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=<YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN>' \
  -H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
  -d '{"creators": ["username"], "latestPerCreator": 20, "analyseTopPerCreator": 5}'
```

### Integrations and schedules

- **Schedules:** run it every hour, day or week from the Apify Console (Schedules) and keep a history of results.
- **Make, Zapier, n8n, Google Sheets, Slack, Airtable:** connect it through Apify's integrations, or send each finished run to a **webhook**.
- **Datasets:** results stay in the run's dataset; export them or read them by API whenever you need them.

### Use it with AI agents (MCP)

Add Apify's MCP server (`https://mcp.apify.com`) to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code or any MCP client. The agent can find this Actor and run it for you: ask it for "analyse the 5 best videos of these TikTok creators and list their hooks". AI agents can also pay for runs directly through Apify's agentic payments.

### Limits

- Public videos only, signed out.
- The AI reads one frame every 2 seconds (at most 40) and the video's sound: fast cuts between frames can be missed.
- Creator scoring uses the latest videos TikTok's profile shows a signed-out visitor.

### FAQ

**Do I need a TikTok account?**

No.

**Does it work on videos with no speech?**

Yes: the text on screen is read from the frames.

**How is this different from a transcript?**

It also reads what is shown, finds the hook and its type, splits the video into beats and pulls out the call to action.

**What is the outlier score?**

A video's plays divided by the median plays of the creator's latest videos read in the run.
