## Pricing

from $0.48 / 1,000 reviews

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Trustpilot Reviews Scraper & Analyzer: reviews, TrustScore and what customers complain about

Get **any company's Trustpilot reviews**, without login: **stars, title, text, date, language**, the reviewer's **country**, whether the review is **verified**, its **likes** and the **company's reply**, plus the company's **TrustScore, review count, stars breakdown** and **Trustpilot's own summary**. Up to **1,000 reviews per company**, filtered by stars and language if you like.

Turn on the **insights report** and each company gets a **customer report**: the **complaints**, **praise**, **requests** and **questions** with counts and example reviews, the **themes**, the **stars split**, how many reviews **the company answered** and **reviews per month**. For **brands, CX and support teams, agencies, investors and competitor research**.

### What you get

| Field | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Review rows | `rating`, `title`, `text`, `date`, `experiencedDate`, `language`, `author`, `authorCountry`, `authorReviews`, `verified`, `source`, `likes`, `reply`, `replyDate`, `url`, `company` |
| Company row | `name`, `domain`, `trustScore`, `stars`, `reviews`, `reviewsLast12Months`, `starsBreakdown`, `categories`, `claimed`, `website`, `reviewLanguages`, `trustpilotAiSummary` |
| Insights row (optional) | `summary`, `complaints`, `praise`, `requests`, `questions`, `bugs` (each with example reviews), `themes` with counts, `sentiment`, `kinds`, `averageStars`, `starsSplit`, `repliedShare`, `reviewsPerMonth` |
| SUMMARY | what each company returned, notes and what was charged |

### What people use it for

- **Customer experience:** what customers complain about most, in their words
- **Competitor research:** rivals' weak spots, from their own customers
- **Reputation monitoring:** new reviews and replies, week by week
- **Due diligence:** a company's real reviews before a deal
- **Agency reporting:** a review report per client

### How to use it

1. Add **companies**: their website (example.com) or Trustpilot page.
2. Set **Reviews per company**, and filter by **stars** or **language** if you want.
3. Keep **Insights report** on, click **Start**, then open the **Reviews** or **Insights** table.

### Input

| Field | Example | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Companies | `example.com` | Websites or trustpilot.com/review/ links |
| Reviews per company | `100` | Up to 1,000 |
| Only these stars | 1, 2 | Empty = every rating |
| Review language | `all` | Or en, de, fr, es... |
| Insights report | on | One report per company |

### Output

Each result is one row in the run's dataset (download it as JSON, CSV, Excel, XML or HTML, or read it through the API). An example row (values shortened):

```json
{
  "kind": "review",
  "company": "Example marketplace",
  "rating": 1,
  "title": "Una de las peores experiencias de…",
  "text": "Una de las peores experiencias de compra online que he tenido.  \nPedí unos zapatos de novia en Etsy por 280 € (precio final con envío). Luego FedEx me…",
  "date": "2026-10-16T18:26:04.000Z",
  "language": "es",
  "authorCountry": "ES",
  "verified": false,
  "likes": 0,
  "reply": null
}
```

With insights on, each company also gets one `insights` row. From a run on 17 October 2026 (60 reviews of a large online marketplace, names removed): average 1.22 stars (56 one-star), 57 complaints, 1 bug, 1 praise, 0% answered by the company; themes "Product quality and listings" 20, "Seller accounts" 14, "Delivery" 11, "Customer service" 11; complaints "low-quality or dropshipped goods", "seller accounts suspended and funds withheld", "unresponsive support". A record named `SUMMARY` in the run's key-value store says what each company returned and what was charged.

### Pricing

- **$0.0006 per review** ($0.60 per 1,000)
- **$0.04 per insights report** (one per company, only when asked for; failed reports are free)
- Company rows are free; companies with no Trustpilot page cost nothing
- The AI model that writes the report (Google's Gemini Flash) is billed by Apify at its exact cost: about $0.01 a report on 60 to 150 reviews (measured 17 October 2026), more for more reviews; Apify charges free-plan accounts 10 times that

What typical jobs cost at the list price:

| Job | Cost |
|---|---|
| 100 reviews of one company | $0.06 |
| 100 reviews with the insights report | $0.10 |
| 1,000 reviews with the report | $0.64 |
| 10 competitors, 200 reviews each, with reports | $1.60 |

On Apify's Scale and Business plans the per-event prices are lower (Store discounts). Set **Maximum cost per run** and the Actor stops cleanly when it is reached: you never pay more than that.

### Tips

- Pick only 1 and 2 stars to read the complaints first.
- Run your company and three competitors together: four reports side by side.
- Schedule a weekly run to follow new reviews and replies.

### Use it through the API

**Python**

```python
from apify_client import ApifyClient
client = ApifyClient("<YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN>")
run = client.actor("zaiq/trustpilot-reviews-scraper").call(run_input={"companies": ["example.com"], "maxReviewsPerCompany": 300})
for row in client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).iterate_items():
    print(row)
```

**JavaScript**

```js
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
const client = new ApifyClient({ token: '<YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN>' });
const run = await client.actor('zaiq/trustpilot-reviews-scraper').call({"companies": ["example.com"], "maxReviewsPerCompany": 300});
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
```

**HTTP (one call, results back)**

```bash
curl -X POST 'https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/zaiq~trustpilot-reviews-scraper/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=<YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN>' \
  -H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
  -d '{"companies": ["example.com"], "maxReviewsPerCompany": 300}'
```

### Integrations and schedules

- **Schedules:** run it every hour, day or week from the Apify Console (Schedules) and keep a history of results.
- **Make, Zapier, n8n, Google Sheets, Slack, Airtable:** connect it through Apify's integrations, or send each finished run to a **webhook**.
- **Datasets:** results stay in the run's dataset; export them or read them by API whenever you need them.

### Use it with AI agents (MCP)

Add Apify's MCP server (`https://mcp.apify.com`) to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code or any MCP client. The agent can find this Actor and run it for you: ask it for "what do customers complain about most on this company's Trustpilot page". AI agents can also pay for runs directly through Apify's agentic payments.

### Limits

- Trustpilot shows signed-out visitors 200 reviews per filter; past 200, each star rating is read on its own, in shares that follow the company's own stars breakdown (1,000 at most).
- The company row's figures (TrustScore, stars breakdown) are Trustpilot's own for all its reviews; the report's figures are for the reviews read.
- The report's counts come from the AI's label for each review: close, not perfect.
- Public data only: you are responsible for how you use it under Trustpilot's terms and the privacy laws that apply to you.

### FAQ

**Do I need a Trustpilot account?**

No. Everything comes from the pages Trustpilot shows a signed-out visitor.

**How many reviews can I get?**

Up to 1,000 per company: 200 per filter, and past 200 the Actor reads each star rating on its own.

**How are complaints counted?**

Every review is labelled (sentiment, kind, topic) and the counts are added up from those labels.

**Can I skip the report?**

Yes: turn Insights report off and pay only per review.
