## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Airbnb Scraper — Listings, Prices, Ratings, Amenities and Availability

**Scrape Airbnb without the Airbnb API.** Enter a city, a neighbourhood or an Airbnb search link and get every listing with its nightly price, total price, rating, review count, coordinates and photos. An optional add-on opens each listing for property type, bedrooms, amenities, the six rating scores and calendar availability. No Airbnb account, no cookies, no browser. Pay per listing, no start fee.

> ⭐ Search by place name, map area or search link · nightly and total prices with discounts · ratings and review counts · coordinates · up to 5,000 listings per location · amenities, capacity and Superhost flag · open nights for the next 30, 90 and 365 days · API and MCP ready

### What does Airbnb Scraper do?

It runs the same search Airbnb's website runs and returns the results as clean rows.

| You enter | You get |
|---|---|
| A **location** such as `Lisbon, Portugal` | Listings in that place, with prices and ratings |
| An **Airbnb search link** with your own filters | The same results you see on the site |
| A **listing link** such as `airbnb.com/rooms/23411393` | That listing's details and availability |

Airbnb shows about 240 listings for one search. When you ask for more, the Actor divides the area into smaller map areas and searches each one, so you can collect up to 5,000 listings per location.

### What data does it extract?

#### Every listing

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `name`, `title`, `id`, `url` | Listing name, type and area ("Apartment in Lisbon"), ID and link |
| `pricePerNight`, `totalPrice`, `nights` | Nightly price, total for the stay and number of nights |
| `originalTotalPrice`, `priceBreakdown` | Price before discount, and each price line as Airbnb shows it |
| `currency`, `currencySymbol`, `priceDates` | Currency, and the dates Airbnb priced when you set none |
| `rating`, `reviewCount` | Average rating and number of reviews |
| `summary` | Bedrooms, beds and baths as shown on the card |
| `isGuestFavorite`, `isSuperhost`, `badges`, `freeCancellation` | Badges and flags |
| `latitude`, `longitude` | Map position |
| `thumbnail`, `images` | Photos shown on the search card |
| `position`, `source` | Rank in the results and the location or link it came from |

#### With the details add-on

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `propertyType`, `roomType` | For example "Entire rental unit", "Entire home/apt" |
| `personCapacity`, `bedrooms`, `beds`, `bathrooms` | Size of the place |
| `isSuperhost`, `isGuestFavorite` | Host and listing status |
| `ratings` | Scores for accuracy, check-in, cleanliness, communication, location and value |
| `amenities` | Every amenity the listing offers |
| `images`, `imageCount` | All photos of the listing |
| `description` | The opening lines of the listing description |
| `availableNights30`, `availableNights90`, `availableNights365` | Open nights in the calendar for the coming periods |
| `minNights`, `nextAvailableDate` | Minimum stay and the first open night |
| `latitude`, `longitude` | The listing page's own coordinates |

### An Airbnb API alternative

Airbnb has no public API. Its official API is open only to approved software partners such as channel managers, and it returns a host's own listings, not market data.

This Actor is an **Airbnb API alternative** for public listing data. It works **without the Airbnb API**: no partner application, no account, no cookies.

| | Airbnb partner API | This Actor |
|---|---|---|
| Access | Approved partners only | Anyone |
| Data | Your own listings | Any public listing in any market |
| Market search | No | By place, map area or search link |
| Output | API objects | Flat rows: CSV, Excel, JSON |

### Why use this Airbnb scraper

#### More than Airbnb's 240-listing limit

One search on Airbnb stops after about 240 listings. The Actor splits busy areas into smaller map areas and removes repeats, so a city returns thousands of unique listings.

#### Real prices, with the breakdown

Each row carries the nightly price, the total, the price before discount and every price line, in the currency you choose.

#### Availability without a second tool

The details add-on reads each listing's calendar and counts the open nights for the next 30, 90 and 365 days. That is the base for occupancy estimates.

#### Your own search links work

Set any filter on airbnb.com, copy the link and paste it. The Actor keeps the link's dates and filters.

#### No start fee, and failures are free

You pay per listing delivered. Removed listings, bad links and failed locations return a free error row. Details are charged only when they were added.

### How to scrape Airbnb listings

1. Open the Actor and type one or more **Locations**, or paste **Airbnb links**.
2. Optionally set check-in and check-out dates, guests, a price range and the type of place.
3. Set **Max listings per location**.
4. Turn on **Add listing details and availability** if you need amenities, room counts and the calendar.
5. Press **Start**, then export as CSV, Excel, JSON or XML, or read the dataset through the API.

> 💡 Set dates when you compare prices. Without dates, Airbnb prices each listing for dates it picks itself; those dates are in `priceDates`.

### Pricing

|---|---|---|
| `listing-scraped` | each listing delivered | **$1.99 / 1,000** |
| `details-added` | each listing that got details and availability (add-on, and always for listing links) | **$2.99 / 1,000** |
| - | removed listings, bad links, failed locations and duplicates | **free** |

| You export | You pay |
|---|---|
| 240 listings in one city | **$0.48** |
| 1,000 listings | **$1.99** |
| 1,000 listings with details and availability | **$4.98** |

### FAQ

**Do I need an Airbnb account, API key or cookies?**
No. It works without the Airbnb API and without logging in.

**Is scraping Airbnb legal?**
This is general information, not legal advice. The Actor collects only listing information that Airbnb shows publicly to every visitor, and never logs in. It does not collect guest data or private host contact details. Airbnb's terms restrict automated access, and listing data can include personal data of hosts under laws such as the GDPR. Whether your use is lawful depends on where you are and what you do with the data. Use it for research and analysis, do not republish personal data, and ask a lawyer before building a commercial product on it.

**How many listings can I get for one city?**
Up to 5,000 per location. Airbnb returns about 240 per search, so above that the Actor searches smaller map areas inside the area the first results cover.

**Are the prices final?**
They are the prices Airbnb displays for the dates, guests and currency of the search, including any discount shown. Taxes added at checkout can differ by country.

**Why are some prices above my maximum?**
Airbnb applies the price filter to its own nightly base price. The displayed price per night can be slightly higher once fees are included.

**What do the availability numbers mean?**
They count the nights the calendar shows as open. A closed night is either booked or blocked by the host, and Airbnb does not say which.

**Does it return host names or contact details?**
No. Airbnb does not publish host contact details, and this Actor does not collect host profiles.

**Does it return reviews?**
It returns the rating, the review count and, with details, the six rating scores. Review texts are not included.

**Does it return the full description?**
It returns the opening lines. The full text loads separately on Airbnb and is not included.

**How fast is it?**
About 1,500 listings a minute for searches. With the details add-on, about 230 listings a minute.

**Can I run it on a schedule?**
Yes. Weekly runs over the same locations give you price and availability history.
