## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Amazon Product Scraper — Search Results, Prices, Ratings and ASIN Lookup

**Scrape Amazon products without the Amazon API.** Search by keyword, paste ASINs or product links, or point at a category, and export products with price, list price, rating, review count, badges, sales volume, delivery and images. Works on **23 Amazon marketplaces**. No Amazon account, no API keys, no proxies to buy. Pay per product, no start fee.

> ⭐ Keyword search · ASIN price lookup · category pages · 23 marketplaces · price, Prime and rating filters · duplicates removed · proxies included · API and MCP ready

### What does Amazon Product Scraper do?

Amazon Product Scraper turns Amazon's product listings into clean rows. You can mix three kinds of input in one run:

| You enter | You get |
|---|---|
| Keywords, such as `wireless earbuds` | The products Amazon shows for that search, in ranking order |
| ASINs or product links | The current price, list price, rating and review count of each one |
| Category links or browse node IDs | Every product listed in that category |

Every input returns the same set of fields, so a run that mixes keywords, categories and ASINs still exports as one table.

### What data can you extract from Amazon?

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `asin`, `title`, `link` | Product ID, title and URL |
| `price_amount`, `price_currency`, `list_price` | Current price, currency and strike-through price |
| `price` | The full price object, with unit price and list-price type |
| `rating_average`, `rating_count` | Star rating and number of ratings |
| `position`, `page`, `is_sponsored` | Rank in the results and whether the slot is an ad (search and category inputs) |
| `bought_past_month` | Amazon's "bought in past month" figure, when shown |
| `badges`, `coupon`, `delivery` | Best Seller and Amazon's Choice badges, coupons, delivery promise |
| `image`, `thumbnail`, `has_variations` | Images and whether the product has size or colour options |

Every row also carries `country`, `source` (which input produced it) and `type`.

### An Amazon API alternative

Amazon's Product Advertising API (PA-API) is only open to approved Associates, throttles you to one request per second until you generate sales, and removes access if you stop referring orders. It returns no search ranking and no sponsored flags.

This Actor is an **Amazon API alternative** that works **without the Amazon Product Advertising API**: no Associates account, no access keys, no sales quota, no API pricing to negotiate. You pay per product you export.

| | Amazon PA-API | This Actor |
|---|---|---|
| Access | Approved Associates only | Anyone |
| Rate limit | Tied to your referral sales | Handled for you |
| Search ranking and sponsored flags | Not available | Included |
| Bought-in-past-month and badges | Not available | Included |
| Output | API objects | Flat rows: CSV, Excel, JSON |

### Why use this Amazon scraper

#### One Actor for search, ASINs and categories

Most Amazon scrapers do one job. Here a single run can track your keywords, refresh a list of ASINs and sweep a category, and the results land in one table.

#### ASIN lookup at listing speed

ASINs are resolved several at a time, so refreshing prices for thousands of products takes minutes, not hours, and costs the same as a search row.

#### 23 marketplaces

United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Poland, Turkey, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, India, Japan, Singapore, Australia and South Africa. Prices come back in the marketplace's own currency.

#### No start fee, and you only pay for products you receive

Starting a run is free. Charges are made right after each batch is saved, so a run you stop early costs only what it delivered. Duplicates, products that are not found and failed pages are free.

#### Proxies and retries are included

Blocked pages are retried on a fresh connection automatically. You configure nothing.

### How to scrape Amazon products

1. Open the Actor and fill in at least one of **Search keywords**, **ASINs or product links**, or **Category links**.
2. Pick the **Marketplace**.
3. Set **Max results per search** and any filters: sort order, price range, Prime only, four stars and up.
4. Press **Start**, then export as CSV, Excel, JSON or XML, or read the dataset through the API.

> 💡 For daily price tracking, paste your ASINs and schedule the Actor once a day. Each run returns the current price, list price, rating and review count.

### Input example

```json
{
  "searchTerms": [
    "wireless earbuds",
    "usb c hub"
  ],
  "products": [
    "B07QSFHT27",
    "B0FQFB8FMG"
  ],
  "country": "US",
  "maxResultsPerSearch": 100,
  "sort": "relevance",
  "fourStarsAndUp": true
}
```

| Field | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| `searchTerms` | array | Keywords to search on Amazon, one per line. Each returns the products Amazon shows for that search, in ranking order. |
| `products` | array | ASINs (`B07QSFHT27`) or product links, one per line. Returns the current price, list price, rating and review count for each. A link from another Amazon site is looked up on that site. |
| `categories` | array | Amazon category links (`amazon.com/s?rh=n:172541`, `amazon.com/b?node=172541`) or numeric browse node IDs, one per line. Returns every product listed in the category. |
| `country` | string | Which Amazon site to scrape. A product or category link from another Amazon site overrides this for that input. Default `"US"`. |
| `maxResultsPerSearch` | integer | Maximum products per keyword or category. Amazon shows about 20 pages per search, roughly 300 to 400 products. Default `50`. |
| `sort` | string | Order of search and category results. Default `"relevance"`. |
| `minPrice` | integer | Only products at or above this price, in the marketplace's currency. 0 means no minimum. |
| `maxPrice` | integer | Only products at or below this price. 0 means no maximum. |
| `brand` | string | Optional. Only products from this brand, as Amazon spells it. |
| `primeOnly` | boolean | Only products eligible for Prime delivery. |
| `fourStarsAndUp` | boolean | Only products rated four stars or higher. |
| `excludeSponsored` | boolean | Drop ad placements from search and category results. |
| `maxItems` | integer | Hard cap on products for the whole run. 0 means no cap. |

### Output example

```json
{
  "type": "product",
  "asin": "B0FQFB8FMG",
  "title": "Wireless Earbuds with Active Noise Cancellation",
  "link": "https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FQFB8FMG",
  "position": 2,
  "page": 1,
  "is_sponsored": false,
  "price_amount": 234.0,
  "price_currency": "USD",
  "rating_average": 4.4,
  "rating_count": 15727,
  "bought_past_month": 50000,
  "badges": ["Best Seller"],
  "image": "https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61example._AC_UL320_.jpg",
  "country": "US",
  "source": "search:wireless earbuds"
}
```

Rows from an ASIN lookup have the same fields without `position`, `page` and `is_sponsored`.

### Pricing

Pay per result. **No start fee, no monthly rental, no minimum.**

| Event | Charged for | Price |
|---|---|---|
| `product-listed` | each product delivered, from a search, a category or an ASIN lookup | **$2.99 / 1,000** |

| You export | You pay |
|---|---|
| 1,000 products | **$2.99** |
| 10,000 products | **$29.90** |
| 100,000 products | **$299.00** |

Each product is billed once per run. You are charged right after each batch lands in your dataset, so a run you stop early costs only what it delivered. Duplicates, products that are not found and failed pages are free. Proxies are included.

### Use cases

#### Price monitoring and repricing

Track your own ASINs and your competitors' every day. Each run returns current price, list price, rating and review count, ready for a repricing rule or an alert.

#### Product research for sellers

Sweep a keyword or category, then sort by `rating_count` and `bought_past_month` to find products with demand and weak competition.

#### Keyword rank tracking

Search your target keywords and record where your ASIN appears. `position`, `page` and `is_sponsored` show organic rank separately from ad placement.

#### Catalogue checks

Verify which of your ASINs are live on each marketplace, and at what price and rating. ASINs that are not found come back as free error rows.

#### Market and brand analysis

Measure share of shelf: how many of the top 100 results for a keyword belong to each brand, at what price and rating.

#### AI and analytics datasets

Feed titles, prices, ratings and sales signals into pricing models, demand forecasts or LLM pipelines.

### FAQ

**Do I need an Amazon account or API key?**
No. It works without the Amazon Product Advertising API and without logging in.

**Is scraping Amazon legal?**
This is general information, not legal advice. The Actor collects only product information that Amazon shows publicly to every visitor, and never logs in. Whether your use is lawful depends on where you are and what you do with the data. Amazon's Conditions of Use restrict automated access, and product images and descriptions can be protected by copyright. Use the data for analysis and monitoring, do not republish copyrighted content, and ask a lawyer before building a commercial product on it.

**How many products can I get per keyword?**
Amazon shows up to about 20 pages per search, which is roughly 300 to 400 products. To collect more, split the search with price ranges, brands or more specific keywords.

**Does it return the full product page: description, specifications, seller, reviews?**
No. It returns the listing data Amazon shows in search and category results, which covers price, rating, review count, badges, sales volume and delivery. Seller, stock, specifications and review text are not included.

**Are sponsored products included?**
Yes, flagged with `is_sponsored`. Turn on **Exclude sponsored results** to drop them.

**Are duplicates removed?**
Yes. A product that appears on several pages or in several searches in the same run is delivered and billed once.

**How fast is it?**
Typically 60 to 250 products per minute. It depends on the marketplace and on how often Amazon makes the Actor retry. ASIN lookups run at the same speed.

**Are prices local to the marketplace?**
Yes, in the marketplace's own currency. Outside the United States, Canada and India the Actor connects from an address inside the marketplace's country wherever Amazon accepts it, so you get the prices and delivery terms a local shopper sees. On amazon.fr Amazon only accepts a direct connection, so a few products that do not ship abroad can come back without a price.

**What happens when an ASIN is unavailable, removed or not sold on that marketplace?**
You get an error row naming the ASIN. Error rows are free.

**Can I schedule it?**
Yes. Use Apify schedules, the API or an MCP client.
