## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Google Videos Scraper - Video Search Results, Channels & Links

**Find every video ranking for a keyword - across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Vimeo and the open web.** One row per video with channel, duration, date and a direct link, so you see the whole video SERP rather than one platform's own search.

> ⭐ cross-platform video SERP · channel + duration + date · date filter · deep pagination · pay per row delivered · CSV/JSON/Excel · API, MCP & schedules

### What data does it extract?

One row per video, with the `query`, `page` and `type` it came from so multi-query exports stay
separable. Fields Google does not return for an item are simply absent, and any new field Google
adds is passed through automatically.

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `title` | Video title |
| `link` | Direct video URL |
| `snippet` | Description text Google shows |
| `imageUrl` | Thumbnail URL |
| `duration` | Runtime, e.g. `1:23` |
| `source` | Platform - YouTube, TikTok, Vimeo... |
| `channel` | Channel or account name |
| `date` | Upload or publication date |
| `position` | Rank within the page |
| `query` | The keyword this row came from |
| `page` | Which results page it came from |

#### Example output

```json
{
  "query": "coffee shops new york",
  "page": 1,
  "type": "video",
  "title": "Top 6 Coffee Shops to Visit in NYC",
  "link": "https://www.tiktok.com/@nck.ryn/video/7611211625948810510",
  "snippet": "2179 Likes, TikTok video from nick ryan (@nck.ryn): “Explore my top 6 favorite coffee shops in NYC! Discover unique b...",
  "imageUrl": "https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSznKUeL15_fmr_lGra7oJOrF5n44iVNZJbGl59JXginviWZA8HgHfqsQ&s",
  "duration": "1:23",
  "source": "TikTok",
  "channel": "nck.ryn",
  "date": "Feb 26, 2026",
  "position": 1
}
```

### How to use it

1. Paste your queries into **`queries`** - one per line.
2. Set the options you need from the table below.
3. Run it, then download the dataset as **CSV, Excel, JSON, JSONL or XML** - or read it straight from
   the Apify API.

#### Input example

```json
{
  "queries": [
    "coffee brewing guide",
    "chemex tutorial"
  ],
  "gl": "us",
  "hl": "en",
  "dateRange": "qdr:m",
  "maxPages": 3
}
```

| Option | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| `queries` | array | **Required.** Keywords, one per line. |
| `gl` | string | Country code - `us`, `in`, `gb`, `de`... |
| `hl` | string | Language code - `en`, `hi`, `es`... |
| `dateRange` | string | `qdr:h`, `qdr:d`, `qdr:w`, `qdr:m`, `qdr:y` - past hour to past year. |
| `maxPages` | integer | Pages per keyword, default 1. Each page is one request. |

### Pricing

| Event | Price |
|---|---|
| `video-result` | **$1.49 per 1,000 videos** ($0.00149 per video) |

1,000 videos → **$1.49** · 10,000 → **$14.90** · 100,000 → **$149.00**

You are billed per row delivered, as it is delivered. Queries that fail or return nothing cost you
nothing, and an interrupted run only ever bills the rows already in your dataset.

### Use cases

#### See every platform ranking for your keyword, not just YouTube

Google Videos mixes YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and publisher video in one ranking - the only practical way to compare platforms on the same query.

#### Track new videos about your brand or campaign

Set `dateRange` to `qdr:d` or `qdr:w` and schedule the run to catch fresh uploads as they rank.

#### Discover creators and channels by topic

The `channel` and `source` columns turn a keyword into a shortlist of accounts already earning video rankings in your niche.

#### Research video content gaps

Compare durations and titles of what ranks to decide format and length before you produce.

#### Build video datasets with links and thumbnails

Every row carries a direct link and thumbnail, ready for transcription or analysis downstream.

### Good to know

- About 10 videos per page; `maxPages` controls depth.
- `dateRange` changes which videos Google returns.
- `channel` and `duration` are present when Google shows them, and omitted when it does not.

### Frequently asked questions

#### Do I need proxies, an API key or a Google account?

No. Requests run through hosted Google search infrastructure on our side - nothing to configure.

#### How many videos can I get per keyword?

Google Videos returns about 10 per page. Use `maxPages` (up to 100) for depth - each page is one request.

#### Which platforms are covered?

Whatever Google ranks for the query: YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Vimeo, Dailymotion and publisher sites. The `source` column tells you which.

#### Can I get only recent videos?

Yes - `dateRange` from `qdr:h` to `qdr:y`, and it genuinely changes the result set.

#### Does it download videos or transcripts?

No. It returns the ranking, metadata and link. Pair it with a transcript actor if you need the spoken content.

#### How do I export the results to CSV or Excel?

Download the run's dataset as CSV, Excel, JSON, JSONL or XML, or read it via the Apify API.

#### Am I charged for keywords with no video results?

No. Billing is per row delivered.

### 🔌 Use this Actor from Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor (MCP)

Add it as a tool in any MCP client - Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code or ChatGPT - through Apify's hosted MCP server. The client runs the Actor for you and reads the results back, so you never leave the chat.

**Actor-specific server URL**

```
https://mcp.apify.com/?tools=actors,docs,zaver.api/google-videos-scraper
```

**Claude Code** - one command:

```bash
claude mcp add --transport http googlevideos "https://mcp.apify.com/?tools=actors,docs,zaver.api/google-videos-scraper"
```

**Claude Desktop, Cursor or any client with a JSON config:**

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "googlevideos": {
      "url": "https://mcp.apify.com/?tools=actors,docs,zaver.api/google-videos-scraper"
    }
  }
}
```

The first connection opens a browser to sign in to Apify, so no API token sits in your config. If your client cannot do OAuth, send `Authorization: Bearer <YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN>` instead.

Then simply ask:

> Which videos rank on Google for 'coffee brewing guide'?
