## Changelog

### 2026-10-14

- New **Search keywords** (`searchQueries`): collect comments from the top YouTube results for any keywords.
- New keyword filters: **Comment contains any of these words** (`keywords`, each row lists its `matchedKeywords`) and **Skip comments containing** (`excludeKeywords`, e.g. against spam).
- Channels, playlists and searches are now read one source at a time: new **Maximum videos per source** (`maxVideosPerSource`) and **Channel tabs to include** (`sourceContentTypes`: videos, Shorts, live), and a failing source gets its own error row while the others are still read. Shortcuts accepted: `@handle`, a channel ID (`UC...`) or plain keywords.
- Fixed: with Apify Proxy turned on, reading channels, playlists and searches always failed, and video metadata from YouTube's oEmbed was skipped (the proxy session name was refused).
- Richer free insights row per video: unique authors, questions, top keywords, top hashtags, top commenters, the video moments viewers mention (e.g. 1:23, with a link) and the most-liked comments.
- Video metadata adds `videoLikeCount`, `videoCommentCount` (exact when YouTube shows it) and `videoChannelSubscriberCount`, read from pages the Actor already loads.
- Date filters accept relative values such as `24 hours`, `7 days` or `today`; `sortBy` also accepts `latest`, `new`, `TOP_COMMENTS`, `NEWEST_FIRST`; `startUrls` (`[{"url": ...}]`) is accepted too.
- Reliability: an unexpected problem with one video gives an error row for that video and the run continues; the run stops cleanly before its timeout and keeps the comments already delivered; error rows say whether a later run may succeed (`retryable`).
- Input form reorganised into sections; new "Comment insights per video" table in the Output tab.

### 2026-10-03

- Lower run start fee: $0.0001 per GB of run memory (was higher), so short runs and AI-agent calls cost less.
- Clearer title and description, and README cleaned up (no duplicated sections).
- Input form: the essential fields come first; optional settings are grouped under "Advanced settings".

### 2026-10-02

- Real creator, pinned, verified and edited flags on every comment (they were always false before).
- New filters: `publishedWithinDays` (rolling window, stops early), `verifiedOnly` and `authorFilter` (comments by given authors).
- New `maxRepliesPerComment` to cap the replies read per thread.
- Requests are bounded and never repeat the same page; "comments are turned off" is reported apart from a blocked request.
- API runs without any video no longer scrape the example video; it is now only a prefill in the input form.

### 2026-10-01

- Lower price per comment.
- The monitor input is now called monitorName (monitorKey still works for existing tasks and schedules).
- Subscriber discounts on paid Apify plans: Bronze −10%, Silver −15%, Gold and higher −20% per result.
- Simpler pricing: Apify platform usage is now included in the per-result price, so you only pay per result plus a small start fee.
- Prefilled example input, so the first run works with one click.
- New Output tab with a results table and a JSON link for APIs and AI agents.
- README section on using the Actor from AI agents (Apify MCP server) and the REST API.
- Safer memory limits to keep runs fast and costs predictable.
- Residential and SERP proxy groups are replaced by the included datacenter proxy (your own proxy URLs still work), so the price stays all-inclusive.
- At the end of a run, the status message now links to the reviews and issues pages, so you can rate the Actor (1–5 ★) or suggest improvements.
