## Changelog

### 2026-10-14

- New **Search keywords** (`searchQueries`): get the transcripts of the top YouTube results for any keywords.
- New **Maximum videos per source** (`maxVideosPerSource`): e.g. the 5 newest videos of each of 10 channels.
- Channel, playlist or search URLs also accept shortcuts: `@handle`, a channel ID (`UC...`) or plain keywords. `startUrls` (`[{"url": ...}]`) is accepted too.
- Languages: when a video has no exact match, a regional variant is used (`en` finds `en-GB`, `pt` finds `pt-BR`) before any other language.
- RAG chunks now include `start`, `end`, `startTimestamp` and a `url` that opens the video at that moment; paragraphs and chapters get a `url` too.
- New free **all-in-one file**: `transcripts.md` (Output tab) with every transcript of the run, titles, links, chapters and timestamps, ready for ChatGPT, Claude or NotebookLM (`saveCombinedFile`, on by default).
- Video metadata adds `likeCount` (when missing before), `commentCount`, `channelSubscriberCount`, `channelIsVerified` and `channelThumbnailUrl`, read from the same page (no extra request).
- New **Remove sound tags** (`removeSoundTags`): drops `[Music]`, `[Applause]` and ♪ from every output.
- Error rows now say whether a later run may succeed (`retryable`), list the video's `availableTranscripts` when only the language was missing, and keep the video title when it is known.
- Fewer blocked videos: when YouTube blocks a request, the video is retried immediately from other IP addresses (Apify Proxy sessions and the run's own address, at least 5 attempts unless `retries` is 0), and the run starts the next videos with the connection that has worked best so far.
- A video that YouTube's app API calls "unavailable" while its page plays normally is now reported as a block (`RequestBlocked`, `retryable: true`) and retried, instead of "Video is unavailable".
- Reliability: an unexpected problem with one video gives an error row for that video and the run continues; the run stops cleanly before its timeout instead of timing out.
- API runs that pass only channels or searches no longer also process (and charge) the example video: it is now only prefilled in the input form.
- Input form reorganised into sections; new "Videos & metadata" table in the Output tab.

### 2026-10-03

- Lower run start fee: $0.0001 per GB of run memory (was higher), so short runs and AI-agent calls cost less.
- Clearer title and description, and README cleaned up (no duplicated sections).
- Input form: the essential fields come first; optional settings are grouped under "Advanced settings".

### 2026-10-02

- Channel and playlist sources: `publishedAfter` / `publishedBefore` date window and `sourceContentTypes` (videos, shorts, live streams).
- New `includeChapters`: video chapters, with the transcript split by chapter.
- New `includeTimestampedText` (`[mm:ss] text` lines, one every `timestampEverySeconds`), ready for citations in RAG answers.
- More reliable: metadata problems no longer cost you the transcript, and errors from YouTube are shown on the error rows.

### 2026-10-01

- The monitor input is now called monitorName (monitorKey still works for existing tasks and schedules).
- Subscriber discounts on paid Apify plans: Bronze −10%, Silver −15%, Gold and higher −20% per result.
- Simpler pricing: Apify platform usage is now included in the per-result price, so you only pay per result plus a small start fee.
- Prefilled example input, so the first run works with one click.
- New Output tab with a results table and a JSON link for APIs and AI agents.
- README section on using the Actor from AI agents (Apify MCP server) and the REST API.
- Safer memory limits to keep runs fast and costs predictable.
- Residential and SERP proxy groups are replaced by the included datacenter proxy (your own proxy URLs still work), so the price stays all-inclusive.
- At the end of a run, the status message now links to the reviews and issues pages, so you can rate the Actor (1–5 ★) or suggest improvements.
