## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Bulk Website Screenshot - Full Page PNG & JPEG

Take **screenshots of hundreds of websites in one run**. Paste a list of URLs or domains and get a **full-page or viewport** image of each one, in **PNG or JPEG**, at any width (desktop 1280 px, mobile 390 px...). Every image is stored in the run's key-value store and the dataset row contains its **public image URL**, so you can open it, download it, or put it into Google Sheets / Airtable / Make / Zapier directly.

Typical uses: website monitoring and archiving, visual QA of client sites, lead lists with website previews, competitor tracking, SEO / agency reports, thumbnails for directories.

### How to use it

1. Paste your URLs (one per line). `https://` is added if missing.
2. Choose **Full page** or viewport only, **width**, **PNG / JPEG** and an optional **delay**.
3. Start. Open the **Output** tab: the table shows each screenshot as an image; export as CSV / Excel / JSON.

### Input example

```json
{"urls": ["https://example.com", "https://www.wikipedia.org"], "fullPage": true, "viewportWidth": 1280, "format": "jpeg", "jpegQuality": 80, "delaySecs": 2}
```

### Output example

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| `screenshotUrl` | `https://api.apify.com/v2/key-value-stores/.../records/example-com-327c3fda.png` |
| `url`, `finalUrl` | requested URL and URL after redirects |
| `status` | `ok`, `httpError`, `unreachable`, `timeout`, `blocked`, `invalid` |
| `httpStatus`, `title` | `200`, `Example Domain` |
| `width`, `height`, `bytes`, `format` | image size |
| `error` | reason when no screenshot was taken |

A `RUN_SUMMARY` record (counts, duration) is saved in the key-value store.

### Pricing (pay per event)

You pay only for screenshots that were actually saved:

| Screenshots | Cost |
|---|---|
| 100 | $0.20 |
| 1,000 | $2.00 |
| 10,000 | $20.00 |

Plus $0.00005 per run start. **Free:** invalid URLs, unreachable sites, HTTP errors (404, 500...), timeouts and pages blocked by anti-bot protection. The Apify Free plan's $5 monthly credit covers about 2,400 screenshots.

If your **Maximum cost per run** is reached, the Actor finishes the pages in progress and stops cleanly; everything saved is kept, and the URLs not processed are listed in the key-value store as `NOT_PROCESSED_URLS`.

### Tips

- Default memory is 1 GB (3 pages in parallel). For large batches raise memory and **Parallel pages** together (about 1 GB per 3 pages).
- Use **Delay** for pages with animations or slow-loading content; **networkidle** waits until the network is quiet.
- Very long pages are cut at **Max full-page height** (default 15,000 px).
- Cookie banners from common consent tools are hidden with CSS - nothing is clicked or accepted.

### Limits and fair use

- Public pages only: no login, no captcha solving, no anti-bot bypass. Pages showing a bot challenge are reported as `blocked` and not charged.
- Screenshots can contain third-party content protected by copyright or personal data; make sure your use is lawful (e.g. internal monitoring, QA, reports).

1280 = desktop, 390 = mobile.

## `viewportHeight` (type: `integer`):

Height of the visible area (the screenshot height when Full page is off).

PNG = lossless, JPEG = smaller files.

## `jpegQuality` (type: `integer`):

1-100, only for JPEG.

## `delaySecs` (type: `number`):

Extra wait after the page loads (animations, lazy content).

## `waitUntil` (type: `string`):

Page load event to wait for.

## `scrollToBottom` (type: `boolean`):

Scroll down the page before a full-page screenshot.

## `hideCookieBanners` (type: `boolean`):

Hides OneTrust, Cookiebot and similar overlays with CSS (does not click anything).

## `maxFullPageHeight` (type: `integer`):

Very long pages are cut at this height.

## `timeoutSecs` (type: `integer`):

Navigation timeout per page.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

Raise memory with more parallel pages (about 1 GB per 3 pages).
