## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## EU TED Tenders Search - Public Procurement Notices & Contract Awards

Search **every EU public tender published on TED (Tenders Electronic Daily)** - the official EU procurement journal with ~700,000 notices a year from all 27 EU member states plus EEA countries - through the **official TED Search API v3**. Filter by keyword, buyer country, CPV code, notice type and publication date and get clean JSON rows: title, buyer, deadline, estimated value, awarded value, winners, CPV codes and direct links to the notice and PDF. No API key, no login, no HTML scraping - 50 notices in about 1-2 seconds.

### Who uses it

- **Bid / tender teams**: a daily feed of new open tenders in your sector and countries - stop checking TED by hand.
- **B2B sales & business development**: contract award notices tell you **who just won what, for how much**, and which public bodies buy your category.
- **Procurement consultants & bid-writing agencies**: monitor many clients' CPV codes at once.
- **Market & competitor intelligence**: track a competitor's EU public-sector wins, build spend datasets.
- **AI / automation**: feed tenders into an LLM qualifier, Slack alert, CRM, n8n or Make via the Apify API.

### Input

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `keywords` | Full-text keywords (any EU language). Any keyword matches. |
| `noticeType` | `competition` (open tenders), `awards` (results & winners), `planning` (prior information) or `all`. |
| `countries` | Buyer countries as ISO 3-letter codes, e.g. `DEU`, `FRA`, `IRL`. |
| `cpvCodes` | CPV codes, e.g. `72000000` IT services, `48000000` software, `45000000` construction, `79000000` business services. Parent codes include sub-codes. |
| `publishedWithinDays` | Only notices from the last N days (default 7; use 1 for a daily schedule). |
| `maxItems` | Maximum notices (default 100). |
| `language` | Preferred language for titles/descriptions (default English, falls back to the original). |
| `expertQuery` | Optional raw TED expert query - overrides the filters. |

```json
{ "keywords": ["cybersecurity", "SIEM"], "noticeType": "competition", "countries": ["DEU", "AUT", "NLD"], "publishedWithinDays": 1, "maxItems": 500 }
```

### Output (one row per notice)

```json
{
  "publicationNumber": "736355-2026", "publicationDate": "2026-10-23", "formType": "result", "noticeType": "can-standard",
  "title": "Germany – Research and development services and related consultancy services – IT-Research- und Beratungsleistungen",
  "buyerName": "Land Saarland, vertr. d. d. IT-Dienstleistungszentrum (IT-DLZ)", "buyerCountry": "DEU", "buyerCity": "Saarbrücken",
  "buyerEmail": "IT-Beschaffung@it-dlz.saarland.de", "buyerWebsite": "https://www.saarland.de/itdlz/DE/home",
  "contractNature": "services", "procedureType": "neg-wo-call", "cpvCodes": ["73000000", "72220000"],
  "tenderDeadline": null, "estimatedValue": null, "awardedValue": 0.01, "currency": "EUR",
  "winners": ["Gartner Deutschland GmbH"], "winnerCountries": ["DEU"],
  "noticeUrl": "https://ted.europa.eu/en/notice/-/detail/736355-2026", "pdfUrl": "https://ted.europa.eu/en/notice/736355-2026/pdf",
  "description": "..."
}
```

Values are exactly as published by the buyer (some buyers publish placeholder values such as 0.01). A run summary (query used, total matching notices) is saved as `RUN_SUMMARY` in the key-value store.

### Pricing (pay per event)

- **$0.002 per notice saved** (`ted-notice`) - 500 notices = $1.
- Tiny start fee per run (`apify-actor-start`). Errors are not charged. Set "Maximum cost per run" to cap spend - the run stops gracefully.

### Notes

- Data: TED / Publications Office of the European Union, reused under the EU open-data reuse policy (Commission Decision 2011/833/EU). This Actor is not affiliated with the EU.
- Buyer contact details are the official contact points published in the notices.
