Can you explain to me what each of the fields returned below means? "endDateFormatted": "2023-10-30T07:00:00.000Z", "startDateFormatted": "2023-10-28T07:00:00.000Z"

thanks

Hi, sure thing, the endDateFormatted means the end of the campaigne, and the startDateFormatted is when it started. Hope it´s what you meant to ask.

Where is the documentation that explains exactly what each field is returned by the API Ads Library scrapper?

thanks

Hi Pavlínia, however there are active campaigns even though their endDateFormatted has "expired"!

For example, the api returned endDateFormatted for October 30th, and on the Facebook Ads Library website I verified that for October 31st this ad appears as active.

Can you explain why?

Hi! Please provide ad ID, need to check manually, actor forwarding data from page so it might be just misunderstanding of some kind.

Hi Alexey, Just do any test, you will see that the endDateFormatted in most cases will be 1 day before the current day's request and the ad will appear as active! If I make a request to the API on November 4th, the endDateFormatted by default is putting November 3rd (1 previous day). This causes some confusion, it could leave the endDateFormatted without data, which would better indicate that the ad is still active.

Is there any property that indicates that the ad is active or inactive?

thanks in advance!

Hi! Probably its confusion because of time zones, i.e. https://console.apify.com/view/runs/vWuywaxk4bSoYZW6V and https://www.facebook.com/ads/library/?id=3222187727938930 referencing the same end date 4 of Nov correctly, I see the same end date in browser. Please consider isActive reference in output to check if ad is active as in Ad Lib status.

Hi Alexey,

Do you have a link to the documentation for this Facebook Ads Scrapper API? Not all fields are simple to understand. For example, isActive didn't know which was the active or inactive ad indicator.

I'm creating an entire application based on your API, I need to know exactly what you mean in each field. It's also a little confusing the absence of a response pattern based on the type of ad (dco, dpa, video, image, etc...) and it's a little difficult to understand what each field is.

I would be grateful if you could send the documentation link!

Thanks in advance!

Hi Alexey, Observing your test, I noticed a difference in the data brought by endDateFormatted. What is the reason for this divergence?

User avatar

Hi! Looks like Ad Lib changing dates based some condition i.e. re-run for 1000 ads https://console.apify.com/view/runs/AGQlJENfHPuoZ3jil

Hi, I´m closing the issue now, but if you have any other question or need assistance, please don´t hesitate to reach out.
