How to use api correctly

I'm automating an email signup task and the captcha solver is part of it. My script uses selenium to navigate the pages and when it gets to the captcha part I just do the client.actor(...).call(runinput=runinput). I also print out the output and it says that the captcha was solved but nothing on the page changed. Am I using it incorrectly?
