I am new to Apify and may have missed something while setting up the scraper. I ensured that all data was included without applying any additional filters. However, when I ran the BizBuySell scraper tool, it only returned listings from California. Given that BizBuySell typically features listings from across the entire United States, we were expecting results from all 50 states. Instead, we received only 5,700 entries from California.
Upon further investigation, I realized that the pre-populated URL was specifically set for California, which I hadn’t noticed initially. Is there a way to include listings from the other 49 states? Additionally, we canceled our trial because it was set to end today. Now that I’ve identified the root cause of the issue, I would appreciate it if you could extend our trial for just one more day. This would allow us to test with data from another state and confirm that we can access the information we need before committing to the monthly subscription.
We are interested in becoming a long-term client, as we require this data on an ongoing basis. Thank you very much for your understanding and assistance.

To scrape all the 49 states you would have to insert the listing URL of each state in the Start Urls field on the actor's input.

Can you please provide a little more on how and where to set up the ability to only scrape new or updated results each time so I do not regrab excessive duplicated data?

Hey. Simply define the dataset name on the input. For example, you can set the dataset name to "all-states", then run the actor with the listings urls of all states. In the first run, since the dataset doesn't exist yet, it will be created. In the following runs, the actor will skip the listings that are already in the dataset and will only scrape the new ones. The new listings will be added to the dataset.

Thank you for the clarification; that makes sense. With that in mind, could you define a specific data point to track for each listing? This would account for situations where the listing URL and ID remain the same, but updates have occurred—such as a business for sale being marked as under contract or sold. If the actor assumes the page is unchanged, is there a way to detect and identify modifications to the existing dataset? Ideally, we would capture any updated content or details and download only the fields that have been modified as the updated payload.
