I build data tools for Canadian retail.

Most scraper catalogues are thin on Canada. There's deep coverage for US, UK and European retailers and much less for the chains people here actually shop at. That's the gap I'm working on, starting with grocery.

Sobeys Grocery Scraper API — Canada Prices & Nutrition 45,000 products with prices, categories, stock status and the full nutrition panel. Search by keyword or pull the whole catalogue.

How I build

  • Public data only. I work from the sitemaps and structured data sites publish for search engines, and I follow robots.txt. If a site's rules don't allow the data, I don't build the tool.
  • Working defaults. Run an Actor with the settings it ships with and you should get useful rows on the first try, without reading the docs first.
  • Documented limits. Every README says what the data isn't, not just what it is. If a field would mislead you, I'd rather cut it than ship it.
  • Maintained. Sites change and scrapers break. I watch mine and patch them.

Issues and requests

Open an issue on any Actor's Issues tab. I read all of them — bug reports get fixed, and reasonable field requests usually get added.
