Its not checking if valid smtp.

Ok. I understand your concern. Actually it’s checking the SMTP, but cannot tell is correct or not because the SMTP server refuses to communicate. It depends on the SMTP servers. That’s very common. The other smtp checking tools available on the web saying they can tell are most of the time lying. Trust me. Better to know that you cannot know, than having some false information
Would you prefer that it mentions « unknown » instead of a blank space?
