Build a lead list from Yelp: for any search ("plumber", "dentist", "coffee shop") in any city you get each business's phone number, website, address, rating, services, hours, year established and how it markets itself on Yelp (advertiser, Yelp Guaranteed, reply rate). The same actor also returns reviews, photos and questions & answers. No Yelp account or API key.
Yelp shows at most 240 businesses per search. Deep search repeats the search with four orderings (recommended, most reviewed, highest rated, nearest) and in testing reached about 380–540 distinct businesses per search term and city (Austin hair salons: 492; Chicago plumbers: 538). Add more terms or cities to go further.
Business leads (the default action)
One row per business:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
name, yelp_url, id, alias | Identity and Yelp link |
phone, phone_digits | Phone number, formatted and digits only |
website | The business's own website, when it lists one |
address, city, state, zip, country, latitude, longitude | Location |
categories, services, attributes | What it does: Yelp categories, listed services, and attributes it answers "yes" to |
rating, rating_unrounded, review_count, price_tier | Reputation |
year_established | Year the business says it was established |
is_current_advertiser | true if it currently pays Yelp for ads: a business that spends on marketing |
is_yelp_guaranteed, is_chain | Yelp Guaranteed program, chain flag |
reply_rate, response_time, quote_requests | How it answers messages, for example "95%", "7 hours", "74 locals recently requested a quote" |
hours, photo_count, neighborhoods, is_closed | More detail |
search_term, search_location, details_fetched, scraped_at | Context |
Yelp does not publish email addresses. Use the website to find a contact address with your usual tools.
How complete the fields are depends on what each business lists. In a run of 492 Austin hair salons: phone on 94%, website on 56%, opening hours on 79%, year established on 38%, services on 39%, and 9% were current Yelp advertisers.
Example input
{"action": "leads","terms": ["plumber", "water heater repair"],"locations": ["Austin, TX", "Round Rock, TX"],"maxItems": 500,"minReviews": 10,"onlyWithWebsite": true}

Values come from a real run; some fields are shortened.
Use cases
- B2B sales and marketing agencies: prospect local businesses by category and city, with phone and website.
- Franchise and market research: map competitors, ratings and review counts by area.
- Lead scoring: prioritize businesses that advertise on Yelp, answer quickly, or have lots of quote requests.
- Local SEO and reputation tools: track ratings and review volume over time.

Good to know
- Limits: one Yelp search tops out at 240 businesses; Deep search and extra terms or cities reach further.
- Data varies by business: not every business lists a website, hours or a year established.
- Photos: up to 50 photos/videos per business (Yelp serves no more).
- Reviewer privacy: reviews come without reviewer details by default.
- Legal: the actor reads publicly visible Yelp data. You are responsible for how you use it, including Yelp's terms and marketing and data-protection laws such as GDPR and anti-spam rules in the countries you contact.
