Missing Data

I have done 2 identical trawls a day apart and in both around 30 lines of data had missing playCount and engagement metrics. The missing lines did not overlap meaning they collected in one trawl but not the other. Can you advise on the best way to solve this? Thanks

Hello, thank you for opening this issue.

It looks like this was a bad behavior from the TikTok API. We'll investigate this and I'll let you know when progress will be made.

I must say that this looks like a very rare occurrence, so I don't think there is something you could do, but if you happen to find another of this case, please let us know, it will help us investigate the problem. Thank you for your patience.

It has happened on a few of my runs and whilst yes it is a small error rate of around 2%, it does have an effect on the data quality. It would be great to get it solved, or at least throw an error when it does happen so that I can more easily identify where the problem lies. Thanks so much for your help!

Hello again! Sorry for the long delay.

This problem was fixed some time ago. We found out that this was in fact a problem on TikTok's end, sending partially broken responses. We now account for them and check for the integrity of the response, retrying if necessary. This means that the problem should not be present anymore.

I'll go ahead and close this issue. Thank you for your patience.
