VGHF Search — an Apify Actor for searching the Video Game History Foundation Digital Archive and ranking magazines and documents by the number of text matches.

The goal is simple: when an archive search returns hundreds of documents, surface the ones that are most likely to contain substantial coverage instead of just a passing mention.

I like tools that are:

• focused
• transparent about what they do
• useful without unnecessary complexity
• tested against real-world edge cases

I’m using Apify to experiment with ideas that can turn into reusable Actors rather than one-off scrapers.
