I make small data tools that do one thing well and don't fall over.
Most of them started as something I needed for my own projects over the last couple of years. I'd cobble together a scraper, get annoyed when it broke the following week, and eventually just build the version I wished existed. These are those.
A few things I'm stubborn about:
- Clean output. Flat, sensible rows that drop straight into a spreadsheet or a pipeline. No untangling required.
- Not breaking. Retries, mirror fallbacks, reasonable defaults. If a source has a bad day, the run should still finish.
- Staying on the right side of things. Public, openly-licensed data only, and I respect rate limits. No logins, no funny business.
- Pricing that isn't annoying. You pay for results. That's it.
Right now it's mostly location and open-data tools. Local business and POI data from OpenStreetMap to start, with more coming as I need them.
If something's off, or you wish a tool did X, open an issue on the actor. I actually read those.
