On scraping specifically: I reach for plain HTTP before a headless browser whenever the target allows it — it's faster, cheaper, and lighter on the site being read. When a browser is genuinely required, Playwright or Puppeteer. Either way the same discipline applies: strict typed boundaries, exponential backoff with jitter, graceful degradation instead of hard crashes, and honest documentation of what works, what doesn't, and why.
