Back up n8n credential names and types, never secrets
Keep a dated record of every credential on an n8n instance. Credentials are captured as name and type only - the public API never returns secret values, and this Actor drops the data field anyway, so nothing sensitive is stored. A credential edit still shows up as a modified row, so a rotated key is visible without the key itself ever being recorded.
