Read only the first pages of each PDF
One row per PDF: the text, the page count, the title, the author and the dates the file carries, plus a hash of the text so you can tell when it changes. The page range accepts 1-5, a single number, or a list such as 1-3,7. Measured on 2026-09-07 the first two pages of the IRS instructions booklet came back out of its 126 pages.
