In listing mode a row has the fields up to country, with a short description and the attributes Jiji shows on the result card. viewsCount, favoritesCount, dateCreated, dateModerated, phone and seller come only with item details on. isVerifiedSeller is true when the seller carries Jiji's verified ID label, and memberSince is how long the seller has been on Jiji, as Jiji displays it.

❓ Jiji API and Scraper FAQ

Does Jiji have an official API? Jiji does not offer a public API for listings data. This Actor is the practical alternative: no API key, no approval and no account, and it returns the public listing data a buyer sees on the site, with prices as numbers and attributes as structured fields, ready for spreadsheets or code.

How do I track car prices in Nigeria or Kenya on Jiji? Run the Actor with categorySlug cars and the country you want, add a search query such as toyota camry or a region, and schedule it daily. Turn on item details to get make, model, year and mileage for every car, then compare prices across runs.

Do I need a Jiji account? No. The Actor reads only public listings and needs no login.

Why is a field empty? Sellers fill in different attributes, so attributes varies by listing and category. regionParent and pricePeriod are often null. phone is null unless Jiji shows the number publicly on that listing. The detail-only fields are null or missing in listing mode.

How many listings can I get? A single category or search can reach roughly 24,000 listings. To cover a whole large category, split runs by region or price range.

Can I scrape Jiji Ethiopia? Not yet. The Actor supports Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Tanzania and Uganda.

Is it legal to scrape Jiji? The Actor collects only publicly available data. Make sure your use of the data complies with applicable laws and the website's terms. Seller names and phone numbers can be personal data under data-protection laws, so you need a legitimate basis to process them.
