Write for Apify

Earn $500 for every article published on the Apify or Crawlee blog. Write about what you've built and help other developers solve the same problems.

Join the Apify Content Writing Program

The best technical content comes from people who actually use the tools. Each quarter, a Call for Papers opens with a specific theme. Pick a topic, write your article, submit it through Discord, and get $500 once it's reviewed and ready for publication.

Authentic developer content

Not marketing copy. Articles written by developers who've actually built the thing they're writing about.

Real-world use cases

Share the workflows and pipelines you've built. If you've solved a real problem, write about it.

Help others learn

Write the article you wish you'd found when you were stuck. Create step-by-step walkthroughs with working code.

No marketing fluff

We don't want shallow tutorials. Write about the insights, trade-offs, and lessons you learned doing the work.

The program focuses on practical, expert-to-expert content: deep dives into Crawlee, advanced web scraping tutorials in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript, browser automation with Playwright or Puppeteer, and creative uses of AI and machine learning for web data collection. Each round focuses on a specific theme. Check the current Call for Papers on the program page for active topics.

$500 is issued once your article has been reviewed and is ready for publication, via the payment procedure discussed during onboarding.

No. Only original, previously unpublished content is accepted. The program exists to produce useful new articles, not republish existing ones.

Not at all. The best technical content comes from developers who actually solve the problems. As long as you have a clear, high-quality technical solution or workflow to share, the writing guide and review process will help you get your draft to a publishable standard.

Each round has a pre-defined list of topics published on the program page when the Call for Papers opens. Only submissions for topics on that list are accepted. If your idea doesn't match the current Call for Papers, you're welcome to publish it on your own blog, and the Apify team is happy to help promote it.
