Search Google Maps by keyword and location. For each business you get its place details plus the email addresses and phone numbers listed on its website, in one row.
Typical uses: B2B lead lists, local market research, sales prospecting by city and category.
What you get
One row per place:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
title | Business name |
place_id, cid | Google place identifiers |
category | First category Google lists for the place, for example "Coffee shop" |
categories | All categories Google lists for the place (the listing order does not mark a primary one) |
address | Full address |
phone | Phone number from the Maps listing |
website | Business website (tracking parameters removed) |
latitude / longitude | Coordinates |
rating / review_count | Average rating and number of reviews |
status | OPERATIONAL, CLOSED_TEMPORARILY, CLOSED_PERMANENTLY or UNKNOWN |
open_hours | Opening hours by weekday, for example {"Monday": ["11:30-14:30", "18:00-23:00"], "Tuesday": []} (empty list = closed). null when the listing has none |
emails_from_website | Email addresses found on the website, own-domain addresses first (empty list if none) |
phones_from_website | Phone numbers found on the website, one entry per number, international format when the country is known (empty list if none) |
maps_url | Link to the Maps listing |
search_query | The query that returned the place |
scraped_at | ISO timestamp |
A place is returned once per run, even if several queries find it. Not every business publishes an email address, so emails_from_website can be empty. If several places share one website, they get the same emails.
In a test on 20 places from two searches (Steuerberater Zürich, dentist Amsterdam; 10 places each), 16 had at least one email address on their website. Results depend on the category and region.
Input
| Parameter | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
searchStrings | two example queries | Search queries, include the location |
maxResults | 5 | Places per query, 1 to 120 |
maxPagesPerWebsite | 5 | Pages read per website (homepage plus contact, imprint and about pages), 1 to 20 |
language | en | Language code for the results |
requestDelay | 500 | Delay between result pages in ms |
proxyConfiguration | default | Optional proxy settings |
Numbers can be given as text ("30"), and queries as a single comma separated string. Empty input runs the two example queries with 5 places each.
Example input
{"searchStrings": ["Steuerberater Zürich", "dentist Amsterdam"],"maxResults": 50,"maxPagesPerWebsite": 3}
Pricing
Pay per result: one charge for each delivered place and a small one-time start charge that is billed only once the first place is delivered (a run with no results costs nothing). Current prices are on the Pricing tab. A run stops before a place that would exceed your maximum total charge.
Use with AI assistants
Call it from Claude or another MCP client through the Apify MCP server:
"Use the google-maps-email-scraper to find 30 coffee shops in Amsterdam and list their email addresses"
Tips
- Put the city in the query: "restaurants Paris", not just "restaurants".
- Set
maxPagesPerWebsiteto 1 for faster runs when homepage emails are enough. - Use specific categories ("Steuerberater", "dentist") rather than broad ones to get more businesses with a website.
