Tips for Best Results

• Copy the result URL from Comparis after applying filters. Every filter in that URL is preserved.
• Keep max_pages modest for test runs. Each page holds 10 listings, and Comparis stops paginating at page 100.
• Use one URL per search when you want a clean dataset, or combine several URLs when you need broader coverage.
• Leave the proxy disabled for small runs. Enable Apify Proxy if you plan large or frequent runs.
• Use a detail URL only when you need one specific listing. Result URLs are faster and collect many records in one run.

Can I scrape both property and car listings in one run?

Yes. Add property and car URLs to startUrls and the Actor saves both kinds of records with the matching listing_category value.

Can I use English, French, or Italian Comparis URLs?

Yes. The Actor supports the www, en, fr, and it hosts and records the language in each item. German URLs on de.comparis.ch are redirected to the working German host.

Does the Actor keep my Comparis filters?

Yes. The Actor reads each URL you provide and keeps its query parameters, including the encoded property filter object. It only changes the page parameter for pagination.

How many listings can I collect?

Comparis serves 10 listings per page and stops at 100 pages, so one search can return up to about 1,000 records. The Actor stops at results_wanted, max_pages, or the last page, whichever comes first.

Why are some fields missing?

Comparis only publishes certain fields for certain listings. Room counts, coordinates, construction year, and floor data are often absent for commercial or newly built properties. Missing values are omitted from the record rather than filled with guesses.

What happens when Comparis changes its listing layout?

The Actor reads more than one data source from each page and checks for the expected listing fields before saving. If one source changes, it switches to the other and logs a warning. If both sources change, the run fails with a clear message instead of returning an empty dataset.

Why did a run stop at an empty page?

A search can legitimately return no listings for the selected filters, or Comparis may have no more results after the last page. The run log shows stop=empty-page or stop=last-page so you can tell the difference.

Can I schedule the Actor?

Can I export the data to CSV or Excel?
