What does eBay Product Listing Scraper do?

The eBay Product Listing Scraper collects listing records from eBay using a keyword, marketplace, seller location or ZIP code, and sorting option. It is useful for eBay market research, competitor monitoring, product sourcing, resale analysis, and price tracking.

By default it reads the search result cards, so a 200-listing run finishes in seconds and returns identifiers, titles, prices, conditions, buying format, shipping, item location, images, and engagement counts. Turn on Fetch full item details to add descriptions, item specifics, brands, sellers, variations, and dates for each listing.

Each record keeps its search metadata, so you can tell which keyword, page, and marketplace produced that row.

Empty and always-null properties are removed before records are saved, so each dataset item contains only values returned for that listing.

Why use it?

  • Monitor products and competitors across eBay marketplaces.
  • Collect up to 60 listings per page without opening each listing, so large runs finish in seconds.
  • Build product catalogs and price research datasets.
  • Collect search results for resale, sourcing, and market analysis.
  • Run scheduled searches with consistent pagination and deduplication.
  • Send clean records to APIs, warehouses, spreadsheets, or automation tools.

How to use eBay Product Listing Scraper

  1. Open the Actor in Apify Console.
  2. Enter a product keyword and choose an eBay marketplace.
  3. Optionally set a seller location, ZIP code, sorting order, result count, and page limit.
  4. Leave "Fetch full item details" off for fast search-card data. Turn it on when the run needs descriptions, item specifics, variations, seller details, and dates.
  5. Run the Actor and review the dataset preview.
  6. Download the results as JSON, CSV, Excel, XML, or another supported dataset format, or connect the run to an integration.

Run input always wins. The local INPUT.json file only affects local development runs; cloud runs and API calls use the input you submit.

Input parameters

All inputs are optional. The Actor uses the values supplied in the run input. Defaults apply only when a field is omitted, and the local development input is never sent to the cloud.

Tips for best results

  • Start with 20 results and one or two pages while checking the output.
  • Use a specific marketplace when currency, seller location, and shipping context matter.
  • Use Apify Residential Proxy when eBay returns an access-denied or anti-bot response.
  • Keep max_pages proportional to results_wanted. Each page returns up to 60 listings.
  • Leave Fetch full item details off when you need broad coverage. Turn it on when you need descriptions, item specifics, variations, sellers, and dates.
  • Let the Actor manage retries. It refreshes its session automatically when eBay challenges a request, and it keeps the listings already saved.

Integrations

Connect the dataset to Google Sheets, Airtable, Make, Zapier, webhooks, or your own API using Apify integrations. Results can be downloaded as JSON, CSV, Excel, XML, RSS, or HTML from the dataset page.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why did a run return no results?

Check that the keyword and marketplace are valid, the result limit is greater than zero, and Apify Residential Proxy is enabled. eBay may temporarily challenge direct access, especially for larger runs.

Does the Actor collect price and seller details?

Prices, shipping, item locations, and engagement counts come from the search cards. Condition and subtitle come from the card when eBay shows them. Seller details, descriptions, item specifics, and variations come from the listing pages, so turn on Fetch full item details for those fields.

Why are description and item specifics empty?

Fetch full item details is off, or eBay did not publish that field for the listing. Enable the option and run again for the extra fields.

Are empty properties included?

No. Empty, null, undefined, and empty collection values are omitted from each saved record.

Can I export eBay results to CSV or Excel?

Yes. Apify datasets can be downloaded as CSV, Excel, JSON, XML, and other supported formats.

Can I schedule recurring eBay searches?

Yes. Schedule the Actor in Apify Console to refresh product, price, seller, or availability data on a recurring basis.
