Data products that do the analysis, not just the extraction.
Most tools on this store hand you rows and leave the thinking to you. Mine try to hand you the conclusion.
Hiring Signals — reads public job boards and tells you what a company is about to do. Market entry, a new sales org, a first infrastructure hire. Calibrated against 5,256 real open roles across 31 companies, and required to stay silent when there is nothing to say.
- Public, documented APIs only. No browser automation, no fingerprint evasion, no anti-bot arms race to eventually lose.
- As few dependencies as possible. Hiring Signals has zero. Nothing in a dependency tree can break it on somebody else's release schedule.
- A signal that fires on every company is a bug, not a feature. My first calibration returned a result for every single company tested. That got fixed, not shipped.
Software and information systems engineering, plus formal training in startup and market analysis — which is where I learned to ask what a number means before asking how to fetch it.
Before that, several years of large-scale geospatial data analysis. The job was never "extract the data." It was "tell us what it means, and be right."
Bugs, feature requests and "does it support X?" — open an issue on the Actor, or email me.
I answer.
