34 Amazon reviews, 3 products, 69 seconds

From The Mine Works, makers of Threads Scraper and B2B Leads Finder, with over 140,000 runs across 170+ public actors.

Give it Amazon ASINs or product links and get back the customer reviews Amazon shows on each product page: star rating, title, full text, date, reviewer name, verified-purchase badge, helpful votes, review photos, the variant bought, and whether the review is local or from Amazon's "reviews from other countries" block. Eight marketplaces. No Amazon account, no SP-API approval, no browser.

Read this first: you get about 5 to 13 reviews per product, not hundreds. Amazon now shows only its top reviews on the public product page and sends anyone who opens the full review list to a sign-in page. This actor reads that public page, so 13 per product is the ceiling. You pay per review delivered, so asking for more never costs more.

Why choose this actor?

  • The reviews shoppers actually see, fast. In a recorded run on 2 October 2026, three US products returned 34 reviews in 69 seconds (13, 13 and 8), all with rating, title, text, date and verified badge, on Apify's standard proxy alone. No login, no seller account.
  • Verified buyers and origin marked on every row. Each review carries verifiedPurchase, reviewSource (local or international) and reviewCountry, so you can keep only genuine buyers from your own market. In our test, 24 of 34 reviews were local and 10 came from Canada and Brazil.
  • Pay only for reviews delivered. A blocked page, a missing ASIN, a product with no reviews and a star filter that matches nothing return no review rows and cost nothing beyond the run's start fee. Retries are free.

Run it on Apify

Part of The Mine Works E-commerce and marketplaces family: Ozon.ru Scraper, Amazon Product Scraper, Carsales.com.au Scraper, Etsy Listings Scraper, AliExpress Scraper, Kleinanzeigen.de Scraper.

Try it in one minute

Paste this into the JSON tab of the input page and press Start. It returns up to 13 reviews for one product in well under a minute.

{
"asins": ["B0BSHF7WHW"],
"marketplace": "amazon.com",
"maxReviews": 13
}

Give products in asins, one per line, either as a 10-character ASIN (B08N5KWB9H) or as a full product link (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08N5KWB9H); duplicates are fetched once. Use each marketplace's own ASIN and set marketplace to match (amazon.com, .co.uk, .de, .fr, .co.jp, .in, .ca or .com.au). If you leave asins empty, the actor runs on a demo ASIN.

Apify's free plan includes $5 of credit every month, which covers about 860 reviews at this actor's Free plan price ($0.0057 a review plus the $0.01 start fee at the default 2 GB of memory, in runs of 10 products).

themineworks/amazon-reviews on Apify. Returns the customer reviews Amazon shows on a product page (about 5 to 13 per ASIN): reviewId, rating, title, body, date, dateLocalized, authorName, verifiedPurchase, helpfulVotes, images, variant, reviewCountry, reviewSource (local or international), productUrl. Call ApifyClient("TOKEN").actor("themineworks/amazon-reviews").call(run_input={...}, memory_mbytes=512), then client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).list_items().items. Required: asins (string[], ASINs or product URLs). Optional: marketplace ("amazon.com" default, or amazon.co.uk, amazon.de, amazon.fr, amazon.co.jp, amazon.in, amazon.ca, amazon.com.au), maxReviews (1 to 500, default 50, but pages carry at most about 13), sortBy ("recent" default or "helpful"), filterByStar ("all" default, "five_star" to "one_star"), includeInternational (default true), residentialFallback (default true). Rows with _type "summary" or "info" are run reports and are never billed. Full spec: GET https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/themineworks~amazon-reviews/builds/default (Bearer TOKEN), which returns inputSchema and readme. Key features

  • Up to 18 fields per review, including rating, verifiedPurchase, helpfulVotes, images, variant (such as Color: Charcoal | Size: Pack of 1), an ISO date and the date exactly as Amazon prints it in dateLocalized.
  • 8 marketplaces: United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Japan, India, Canada and Australia.
  • Local and international reviews, labeled. Amazon's "reviews from other countries" block is included by default (often 5 of a US listing's 13) and tagged reviewSource: "international" with its reviewCountry. Switch includeInternational off to get only the marketplace's own reviews.
  • Star filter and sort. filterByStar keeps one rating band; sortBy orders by date or by helpful votes. Both act on the reviews the page carries.
  • Up to 500 products per run, one page fetch per product when Amazon cooperates (5 requests for 3 products in our test).
  • Careful retries. A "Continue shopping" bounce is retried on up to 5 fresh IPs; a page Amazon cuts off above the reviews is retried twice, then on a residential IP if residentialFallback is on; a product whose reviews section is genuinely empty is fetched once and reported, not retried.

How to use it

Basic: one product

{
"asins": ["B08N5KWB9H"],
"marketplace": "amazon.com"
}

You get the reviews on that product's page, newest first, local and international together.

Several products in one run

{
"asins": ["B08N5KWB9H", "B0BSHF7WHW", "B09B8V1LZ3"],
"marketplace": "amazon.com",
"maxReviews": 13
}

This is the exact input of our 2 October test: 34 reviews in 69 seconds. Product links work in the same list.

Complaint mining on a competitor

{
"asins": ["https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09B8V1LZ3"],
"filterByStar": "one_star",
"includeInternational": true
}

Keeps only 1-star reviews. Because Amazon's top reviews lean heavily positive (30 of our 34 were 5 stars), a single product often has no 1-star review on its page; run the filter across many competing ASINs instead, and only matching reviews are charged.

Your own market only, verified buyers

{
"asins": ["B0BSHF7WHW"],
"marketplace": "amazon.com",
"includeInternational": false,
"sortBy": "helpful"
}

Drops the "reviews from other countries" block and puts the most-upvoted reviews first. Filter on verifiedPurchase: true after loading if you want to be strict.

Weekly rating watch on your catalog

{
"asins": ["B0BSHF7WHW", "B09B8V1LZ3", "B08N5KWB9H"],
"sortBy": "recent",
"maxReviews": 13
}

Save this as a task and schedule it weekly (for example 0 9 * * 1). Add "monitorMode": true to get only the reviews you have not received before (see "Run it on a schedule" below). Because the page shows a fixed set of top reviews, a new review appears only when Amazon moves it into that set.

UK or Germany instead of the US

{
"asins": ["B08N5KWB9H"],
"marketplace": "amazon.co.uk"
}

Use the ASIN as listed on that marketplace; the same product can carry a different ASIN in each country, and a wrong one returns "ASIN not found" and no rows.

Input parameters

ParameterTypeDefaultWhat it does
asinsarray of stringsnone (form prefill: B08N5KWB9H)ASINs or product URLs. Duplicates are removed; up to 500 per run. Left empty, the run uses a demo ASIN.
marketplacestringamazon.comOne of amazon.com, amazon.co.uk, amazon.de, amazon.fr, amazon.co.jp, amazon.in, amazon.ca, amazon.com.au.
maxReviewsinteger (1 to 500)50 (form prefill: 13)Most reviews per ASIN. Product pages carry about 13 at most, so values above that change nothing and cost nothing.
sortBystringrecentrecent (by review date) or helpful (by helpful votes). Sorts the reviews on the page.
filterByStarstringallall, five_star, four_star, three_star, two_star or one_star. Reviews filtered out are never charged.
includeInternationalbooleantrueInclude Amazon's "reviews from other countries" block, tagged reviewSource: "international".
residentialFallbackbooleantrueWhen Amazon keeps blocking or cutting the page short, retry that product on a residential IP (at most 2 tries per product).
proxyConfigobjectApify ProxyThe standard proxy for first attempts. Leave the default unless you have a reason to change it.

"Form prefill" values fill the Console form for you; an API call that leaves a field out gets the default shown.

Memory and timeout. The actor's default run memory is 2 GB, which makes the start fee $0.01. Our own weekly checks run on 512 MB and deliver normally, which halves the start fee to $0.005; set Memory to 512 MB in Run options, or pass memory_mbytes=512 from code. The default timeout is 600 seconds. Products took roughly 10 to 25 seconds each in our runs, so for more than about 20 products raise the timeout in Run options. A run that nears its timeout stops 15 seconds early and keeps every review already delivered.

What data do you get?

One row per review.

The review: reviewId (Amazon's ID, starting with R), rating (1 to 5), title, body (full text), date (ISO date), dateLocalized (Amazon's own line, such as "Reviewed in the United States on September 27, 2026"), helpfulVotes (left out when nobody has voted), images (photo URLs, an empty list when there are none), variant (the color, size or configuration bought, when Amazon shows it).

The reviewer: authorName (display name as shown), authorUrl (profile link, present on local reviews only in our test), verifiedPurchase (true when the Verified Purchase badge is shown).

Where it came from: asin, marketplace, productUrl, reviewSource (local or international), reviewCountry (the country named in the review line) and scraped_at.

Each run ends with a _type: "summary" row: reviews delivered and charged, requests made, residential requests used, and why products came back empty (truncated_asins for pages Amazon cut short, genuinely_empty_asins for products with no reviews, filtered_out_asins for products whose reviews your filters removed, and blocked). A _type: "info" row follows when reviews were delivered. Neither is billed.

Stable fields for automations

These 15 fields were present in every review row we sampled (34 reviews from 3 products on 2 October 2026):

helpfulVotes (19 of 34 rows), variant (19 of 34) and authorUrl (24 of 34) appear only when Amazon shows them. We will not rename these fields. New fields may be added over time; existing ones keep their names.

Pricing

Pay per event: you pay for each review delivered to your dataset, plus a small start fee per run.

EventFreeBronzeSilverGold and above
review-scraped, per review$0.0057$0.00481$0.00405$0.00342
review-scraped, per 1,000 reviews$5.70$4.81$4.05$3.42
apify-actor-start, per run$0.005 per GB of run memory, minimum one eventsamesamesame

The start fee, exactly. Apify's apify-actor-start event is charged once when a run starts, at $0.005 for each GB of memory the run uses, with a minimum of one event. This actor's default is 2 GB, so a default run pays two events, $0.01. At 512 MB it pays one event, $0.005.

Worked examples on the Gold tier: one product with 13 reviews costs about $0.044 plus the start fee. 100 products at about 11 reviews each (1,100 reviews) cost about $3.76 plus the start fee. On the Free tier, those 1,100 reviews cost about $6.27.

Never charged: blocked or cut-off pages, products that are not found, products with no reviews, reviews removed by filterByStar or includeInternational, retries (datacenter or residential), and the summary and info rows. A run that delivers no reviews pays only the start fee.

There is no scheduled price change for this actor; these prices have applied since 18 September 2026. The Pricing tab on this page always shows the rate for your own plan; if it and this table ever differ, the Pricing tab is right.

Run it on a schedule

Turn on monitorMode and each run delivers only the reviews you have not received before, so a daily run costs you only for what is new.

  1. Enter your input, switch on Monitor mode and click Save as a task.
  2. In Apify Console open Schedules, click Add schedule and pick Daily (or any time and timezone you like).
  3. Under Actors or tasks to run, add the task you saved and save the schedule.
{
"asins": [
"B0BSHF7WHW",
"B09B8V1LZ3"
],
"marketplace": "amazon.com",
"sortBy": "recent",
"maxReviews": 13,
"monitorMode": true
}

The first run delivers everything it finds. After that, each run delivers only reviews that were not in an earlier run with the same input, and reviews it skips are never charged. The summary row at the end shows new_this_run and skipped_duplicates. Changing the input starts a fresh history; changing only the result limit does not. Amazon shows a fixed set of top reviews per product, so a new review turns up only when Amazon moves it into that set: on most days a run delivers a few reviews or none, and a run that finds none pays only the start fee. A long list that turns up little new can stop before its last products to keep request costs in line; the log says how many were not checked, and none of them are charged.

FAQ

Why only about 13 reviews per product? Amazon used to serve every review on a public, paginated review page. It now redirects that page to its sign-in screen, which this actor never uses. The product page itself still carries a set of top reviews, typically 8 local and 5 from other countries on a US listing, and that is what you get. Products with fewer reviews return fewer.

Do I need an Amazon account or the SP-API? No. Amazon's Selling Partner API shows reviews only for your own approved catalog and needs seller registration. This actor reads the public product page any shopper sees, for any product.

How fresh is the data? Each run reads the product page live. The page shows Amazon's chosen top reviews, so they mix new and old: our test rows were dated from December 2020 to 27 September 2026. Sort by recent and turn on monitorMode to get only the reviews that are new since your last run.

Why did a product return nothing? Three reasons, reported separately in the summary row: Amazon cut the page off above the reviews on every try (truncated_asins), the product genuinely shows no reviews (genuinely_empty_asins), or your filters removed them all (filtered_out_asins). The same product can vary from run to run: our weekly check on one ASIN returned 13 reviews on 23 September and an empty reviews section on 30 September. None of these are charged; run the product again later.

Do I need residential proxies? Usually not. On 2 October all three test products came back complete on Apify's standard datacenter proxy. Amazon does sometimes block that pool or send a cut-off page, and the residential fallback (on by default, at most 2 tries per product, and our cost, not yours) recovers those. Turn it off only if you would rather accept a lower yield.

Can I filter by star rating or verified purchase? Yes for stars, with filterByStar. Every row carries verifiedPurchase, so filter on it after loading. Keep in mind that the page shows mostly positive top reviews; in our test 30 of 34 were 5 stars.

Does it translate international reviews? No. Reviews from other countries come back in the language they were written in, tagged with reviewCountry.

How do I export the data? From the run's Storage tab as JSON, CSV, Excel, XML or HTML, or through the Apify API. Remove rows that have a _type field if you want reviews only.

Can I use it from Claude, ChatGPT or another AI assistant?

  • Connector URL: https://mcp.apify.com/?tools=themineworks/amazon-reviews.
  • Claude: Settings > Connectors > Add custom connector, paste the URL, sign in with Apify.
  • ChatGPT: developer mode, add an MCP connector with the URL, sign in with Apify.
  • Cursor or VS Code: add it as an HTTP MCP server with that URL.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add -t http amazon-reviews "https://mcp.apify.com/?tools=themineworks/amazon-reviews".

Is it legal to scrape Amazon reviews? The actor reads only public product pages that anyone can open without logging in, and it does not get past any login wall. Reviews carry reviewer names, which are personal data: if you store or publish them, you need a lawful basis, and summarizing or analyzing review text without names is the safer use. You are responsible for how you use the data, including Amazon's terms and data protection laws such as GDPR and CCPA. This is general information, not legal advice.

Integrations

  • Google Sheets: export a run straight to a sheet, or use Apify's Google Sheets integration to append each scheduled run.
  • Make, Zapier and n8n: use the Apify app or node to run the actor for new ASINs and send low-star reviews to Slack or a support queue.
  • Webhooks: have Apify call your URL when a run succeeds, then fetch the dataset.
  • API and client libraries: start runs and read datasets from Python, JavaScript or any HTTP client. See the "Copy to your AI assistant" block above for the exact call.
  • MCP clients: Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code and other MCP clients can call the actor through https://mcp.apify.com.
