Bangladesh e-GP Tenders & Contract Awards (eprocure.gov.bd)

Live tenders and contract awards from Bangladesh's national e-Government Procurement portal, eprocure.gov.bd, as clean, English-keyed JSON.

• Live tenders (recordType: "tenders", the default): every tender currently open on e-GP, newest publication first, with the tender ID, reference number, full title, procurement nature, type and method, the ministry, division, organization and procuring entity, publication and closing times, amendment status and a link to the notice.
• Contract awards (recordType: "awards"): awarded contracts from the portal's Notification of Award list, newest contract signing first, with the tender and lot IDs, title, ministry, procuring entity, district, method, advertisement time, signing date, the contractor the contract was awarded to and the contract value in taka, with a link to the award page.

A filter that does not apply to the chosen record type is ignored, and the run log says so. Examples:

Every live tender: leave the filters empty and set maxItems to about 5,000 (the portal lists roughly 4,000 live tenders at a time).

Output

One dataset item per live tender or per awarded contract. Every item has a recordType field, tender or award; a run stores one record type only, so a run's dataset is homogeneous. Keys are English; text is kept exactly as the portal publishes it (English or Bangla), trimmed and with HTML entities decoded. Times are ISO-8601 in Bangladesh time (+06:00), the signing date is a calendar day (YYYY-MM-DD), and fetchedAt is UTC. The Output tab on this page documents every field. The dataset has two table views: "Tenders" and "Awards".

About contract values

The award list publishes each contract's value in crore taka (1 crore = 10,000,000 BDT) rounded to three decimals. contractValueCrore keeps that figure as published and contractValueBdt converts it to taka exactly, digit by digit, so it is precise to 10,000 BDT: the award above is 185,324,700 BDT on its award page and 18.532 crore (185,320,000 BDT) in the list. The exact price is on the page detailUrl points to. contractValueText keeps the cell as printed, so a value in another currency or format is never lost (its numbers are then null).

About award dates

The award list is ordered by the date the contract was signed (contractSignedOn), which comes after the Notification of Award itself; the award page shows both. A tender with several lots has one award per lot, keyed by lotId.

Pricing

Pay per event, charged only for records actually stored in your dataset:

• tender-notice: one per live tender stored.
• award-result: one per contract award stored.

A run charges one of the two, depending on recordType; the actor defines no start event of its own. It stores each page before it is charged and stops cleanly when your spending limit is reached, so you never pay for data you cannot see.

Data source and politeness

The data comes from the public, login-free lists of the national e-GP portal run by the Bangladesh Public Procurement Authority (BPPA): the "All Tenders" page (Live tab) and the Notification of Award search. The actor:

• sends one request at a time with at least 2 seconds between requests, with an honest User-Agent that names the actor;
• reads large pages (up to 500 rows) so a typical run needs only a few requests;
• retries connection resets, timeouts and server errors with exponential backoff inside a fixed budget, and stops with a clear error if the portal keeps refusing;
• stops shortly before the run's timeout and keeps what it has stored;
• never logs in, never touches the captcha-protected parts of the site and never downloads tender documents.

The portal's terms state that its content is copyrighted by BPPA. The actor publishes metadata and links only, not documents; follow detailUrl for the official page and documents.

Data and privacy

The output is company and award metadata exactly as the government publishes it by law. Contracts are often awarded to sole proprietorships named after their owner, so winnerName can be a person's name: the actor keeps it as published and adds nothing to it. It does not enrich, profile or combine records with other sources, does not guess personal attributes, and does not output phone numbers, e-mail addresses or the beneficial-ownership details shown on individual award pages. If you process names of individuals, you are responsible for doing so lawfully.

Limitations

• Tenders are live tenders only: the list the portal shows as "Live" (including amended ones). Closed, archived and cancelled tenders are not included.
• Filters the portal cannot apply are applied by the actor. Keyword, ministry and organization for tenders, and ministry, organization, method and district for awards, are matched on the newest records. For awards, a run with such filters reads at most the newest 50,000 awards; add signedSince or a keyword to reach further back.
• Award titles have no commas: the award list strips them from package descriptions (for example 25000 Copies for 25,000 Copies). The award page keeps the original.
• Garbled characters are the portal's own: some descriptions contain mis-encoded characters (such as â??) in the portal itself; the actor keeps them as published.
• The tender list has no district and the award list has no procurement nature, so those filters apply to one record type each.
• Advertisement time: a few awards carry free text instead of a date; advertisedAt is then null.
• Method names are given only where the portal spells them out; DC, CSO, RFQU and RFQL have a null methodLabel.
• The lists are read newest first while the portal keeps publishing; a record that moves between pages during a run is stored once.
