Popshop Live Scraper - Shows, Sellers, Products & Reviews
Popshop Live Scraper turns Popshop Live, the live-shopping marketplace, into a clean data API. Search product listings by keyword with variants, prices and stock, read live and upcoming shows with full seller profiles, and collect top buyer review cards - then export to JSON, CSV or Excel, or pull the results straight into your app through the API.
Why This Scraper?
- Three scopes in one actor. Product keyword search, discovery shows (live now and upcoming), and top buyer review cards - pick one per run.
- Variant-level detail. Every product carries per-variant prices, sale prices and stock counts, plus the seller it belongs to.
- Seller profiles ride the shows. Each show row embeds the seller's handle, storefront name, bio, avatar and verified-seller status.
- Built for schedules. Incremental mode returns only new and changed records on recurring runs, and a refused run fails loudly instead of returning an empty dataset.
- Honest scope. The API keeps seller-order and profile-search endpoints login-only; this actor sticks to the anonymous catalog surface and says so.
Use Cases
- Who: live-commerce analysts - track which sellers run shows, when, and how often across categories.
- Who: resellers and bargain hunters - keyword-search listings with prices, sale prices and per-variant stock.
- Who: social-commerce researchers - collect seller profiles and buyer review cards for market studies.

How to Use
- Pick a scope: Products (keyword search), Shows (live and upcoming discovery), or Top buyer reviews.
- For products and shows, add keywords. For shows you can also filter by category (for example Fashion, Kawaii) or seller handle.
- Set Max items for the run cap (100 by default; 0 runs until the walk ends naturally).
- Run the actor and export the dataset, or select an MCP connector to send records into your apps.
Search products:
{"kind": "products", "queries": ["dress"], "maxItems": 100}
Read shows with a category filter:
{"kind": "shows", "categories": ["Fashion"], "maxItems": 50}
Filter shows to one seller:
{"kind": "shows", "sellers": ["farmhouselux"], "maxItems": 50}
Top buyer reviews:
{"kind": "reviews", "maxItems": 50}
Run it from your code
Run it from Python:
from apify_client import ApifyClientclient = ApifyClient("YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN")run = client.actor("abotapi/popshop-live-scraper").call(run_input={"kind": "products","queries": ["dress"],"maxItems": 100,})items = client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).list_items().items
Run it from JavaScript:
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';const client = new ApifyClient({ token: 'YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN' });const run = await client.actor('abotapi/popshop-live-scraper').call({kind: 'products', queries: ['dress'], maxItems: 100,});const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
Tips
- The web app is a single-page shell, so pasted product or listing links carry no data; only seller links (popshop.live/seller-name) resolve, as a Shows filter.
- Product prices of -1 mean "price on request" - the variant prices carry the real numbers.
Send results into your apps (MCP connectors)
Optionally send records into the apps you already use through MCP connectors: set MCP connectors (for example a Notion database) and cap the export with Max items to export per connector. The export is a gated side channel: it never changes the dataset.
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
mcpConnectors | Connector ids to export to (empty = no export). |
notionParentPageUrl | URL or id of the Notion parent page (required for the Notion connector). |
maxNotifyListings | Cap on records written to each connector per run. |
Input Parameters
| Parameter | Type | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
kind | string | products | What to scrape: products, shows, or top buyer reviews. |
queries | array | - | Keywords for products and shows, one entry per paged search. |
categories | array | - | Category names or codes for shows (for example Fashion, Kawaii). |
sellers | array | - | Seller handles to filter shows by. |
urls | array | - | Seller links (popshop.live/name); other links fail loud. |
showStatus | string | all | Shows: all discovery rows, live now, or upcoming. |
pageSize | integer | 40 | Page size for paged searches (API caps at 40). |
maxItems | integer | 20 | The single cap on the run: stop after this many records. |
proxy | object | shared datacenter | Leave the default for the cheapest run. Use residential if runs fail. |
resumeFromRunId | string | - | Paste a previous run ID or dataset ID to continue a large crawl without returning or charging for records already collected there. |
incrementalMode | boolean | false | Track changes across scheduled runs; suppress and never bill unchanged records. |
stateKey | string | - | Optional name for the incremental baseline. |
emitUnchanged | boolean | false | Also return unchanged records, marked and billed. |
emitExpired | boolean | false | Also return disappeared records, marked and billed. |
ignoreFieldsForChanges | array | - | Extra top-level fields excluded from change detection. |
mcpConnectors | array | - | Connector ids to export to (empty = no export). |
notionParentPageUrl | string | - | URL or id of the Notion parent page (required for the Notion connector). |
maxNotifyListings | integer | 50 | Cap on records written to each connector per run. |
Output Example
Sample shape: one product row, from a live record.
Live record: Fu Overlay Lace Cheongsam Dress
{"recordId": "popshop:rv9Gf0wO9kHxH7CwJSmn","title": "Fu Overlay Lace Cheongsam Dress In Wine Red/Navy","price": 259,"discountPrice": 128,"currency": "USD","status": "active","sellerName": "kevinkaipolani","url": "https://popshop.live/listing/rv9Gf0wO9kHxH7CwJSmn"}
Plan Requirement
This actor runs on any Apify plan. The default shared connection keeps costs low; if runs fail with connection errors, switch the proxy group to residential and try again.
FAQ
How much does it cost?
The actor is pay per event: a start fee per run plus a per-record fee for every product, show or review returned. Exact prices are on the actor's Pricing tab. Max items is the cost lever: a run's record count is bounded by it.
Is it legal to scrape Popshop Live?
The actor reads the marketplace's public catalog surfaces: the same product search, show discovery and top-review data any visitor sees without an account. It does not access accounts, orders or checkout. You are responsible for using the data in line with the site's terms of use, privacy law such as GDPR or CCPA, and applicable regulations; personal data of identifiable individuals requires a lawful basis.
Can I get only new or changed items on a schedule?
Yes. Turn on Incremental mode and schedule the actor. The first run returns everything matching as NEW; later runs return only NEW and UPDATED records. Price moves, stock changes and new shows all count as changes. Use State key to keep a monitoring campaign stable, and Emit unchanged or Emit expired only if you also want those rows (they return and bill extra rows).
Why did a run fail with a PERMISSION_DENIED message?
Some Popshop endpoints (seller order listings, profile searches) are login-only. This actor sticks to the anonymous catalog surface; if you scope a run into a login-only area it fails loud with that explanation instead of returning an empty dataset.
Why did my run fail instead of returning an empty dataset?
A run that never got a single readable answer fails loudly with a connection message instead of reporting an empty catalog: an empty dataset always means the search genuinely matched nothing.
Can I use it with AI agents or MCP?
Yes. Every record is plain JSON over the dataset API, and the MCP connector export sends rows straight into tools like Notion. Point an agent at the dataset items endpoint with the input above.
