App Store Top Charts Scraper: country and category snapshots

Export available App Store chart rankings by country and category, with app IDs, developer names, displayed prices and source links. Use the dataset to inspect which apps appear in a chart and combine repeated exports in your own app-research workflow.

The Actor reads Apple's public iTunes chart feeds without an API key. A chart is a source snapshot, not an estimate of downloads or revenue. Chart types and regional/category combinations depend on Apple's feed availability.

First run

Start with one country and a small chart:

Open the dataset and the SUMMARY key-value record after the run. Check the log for countries whose requests failed. Export JSON, CSV or Excel, or retrieve the dataset through the Apify API.

limit	Requested apps per country, from 1–200; default 100. Source coverage may be smaller.

The form also exposes toppaidapplications, topgrossingapplications, topfreeipadapplications and toppaidipadapplications. These are requested feed identifiers, not a guarantee that Apple currently serves every combination. Start with a small run for the precise country, category and chart you need. The Actor does not switch to a different chart when a request fails.

Output

Each row describes an app's position within that requested country's chart:

A rank is derived from the returned feed's order. It does not establish historical rank, keyword-search rank or download volume. The same app can appear in multiple country charts and remains a separate observation for each country.

SUMMARY records the input countries, chart type, genre and number of pushed records. Missing source fields remain null. Save the run timestamp with exported datasets if you want to build a dated comparison history; there is no built-in rank-change monitor or automatic alert.

Pricing

This Actor charges an Actor-start event per allocated GB of memory, with a minimum of one event. There is no separate per-result event. Consult the live Pricing tab for the active base rate and subscription-tier discounts, and check memory in the run settings before starting. Startup can be charged even if no usable results are returned. A 512 MB run incurs one start event. Output limits cap collection; they do not guarantee coverage.

Troubleshooting and support

A failed country request is logged and skipped, so a completed run can contain only a subset of requested countries. Compare the dataset's countries with your inputs. Unavailable or changed legacy feeds can return errors or no entries; absence from the dataset does not establish absence from the App Store.
