This changelog highlights releases that materially changed eBay Scraper for users. Dates use UTC; small internal refactors and routine maintenance are intentionally omitted.
Features
- Paste eBay search URLs with
startUrls, and filter with sellers, categoryId, freeShippingOnly and homeCountryOnly. Keywords are no longer required when you use a URL or seller.
- New
sellerType field on EU marketplaces, such as Privat or Gewerblich.
Fixes
condition now holds the real item condition. It often held a seller tagline, brand or category before, so check any downstream logic that relied on the old value.
- Searches with no exact matches no longer return or charge eBay's unrelated "Results matching fewer words" rows.
- Titles no longer start with the "New Listing" or "Neues Angebot" badge.
- Rows eBay promotes outside your
minPrice/maxPrice range are no longer returned or charged.
isSponsored is now null instead of always false: eBay no longer exposes the label in a readable form.
- Every run now ends with a status message giving products delivered against your limit and why it stopped.
- The start fee is now charged with the first product, so invalid input, a search with no matches, or a fully blocked run costs nothing. The run also stops fetching pages once your maximum cost per run is reached.
Reliability
- Each search page again makes at most
maxRequestRetries attempts in total (5 by default), the same retry work as before 2026-11-01; anti-bot blocks no longer get extra attempts beyond your setting. A plain HTTP 503 is still treated as an ordinary error rather than an anti-bot block, and exhausted searches still fail with already saved products preserved.
Reliability
- Searches blocked by eBay's anti-bot protection now retry with a fresh residential IP up to 10 times per page instead of 5, so far fewer runs fail with HTTP 403. Other request errors, including a plain HTTP 503, still follow
maxRequestRetries, and each page makes at most 10 attempts in total.
Reliability
- Exhausted blocked or unavailable searches now fail honestly instead of reporting success with missing results; already saved products and matching charges are preserved.
- Added sanitized failure diagnostics to help investigate recurring upstream access problems.
Reliability
- Reduced memory use during long, multi-query searches so pagination can complete reliably within the configured memory limit.
- Product rows are now stored in page-sized batches with matching product charges, preserving partial output if a later page fails.
Features
- Added marketplace selection for eBay US, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Canada, and Australia while keeping US as the default.
- Product records now include marketplace, domain, and currency context, with localized price parsing for supported markets.
- Removed localized eBay accessibility labels from product titles so international datasets contain clean listing names.
Features
- Added public Store task examples so users can start common eBay price-monitoring workflows faster.
- Refreshed Store copy for ecommerce price-monitoring use cases.
Features
- Product records now include return policy and discount details when eBay exposes them.
Reliability
- Improved handling of eBay anti-bot blocks with better session behavior and request compatibility.
- Added an explicit cookie dependency used by the scraper runtime.
Fixes
- Fixed cloud startup so the Actor runs the compiled application in production builds.
- Corrected README pricing information to reflect tiered pricing.
Features
- Initial release for scraping eBay search listings with prices, shipping, condition, seller ratings, bids, sold counts, discounts, images, and filters for condition, listing type, and price range.
