Search ICD-10-CM codes by diagnosis text or code and export normalized records for medical coding lookup and healthcare data normalization.
One to 20 non-empty strings (up to 2,000 characters each). Search mode uses NLM text/code-fragment matching across code and title; identical trimmed search terms are collapsed. Code modes require a three-character category plus up to four alphanumeric characters, optionally dotted, and normalize case/whitespace. Do not submit patient data.
[ "depression", "diabetes"]search preserves NLM diagnosis-text and code-fragment matching (not exact equality). exactCode normalizes compact/dotted codes and returns only whole-code equality; codePrefix returns only codes beginning with the normalized prefix. Applies to every query; separate runs are needed to mix modes.
Per-query source-match ceiling, 1–5,000 (default 20), before deduplication. Uses pages of at most 500. The request ceiling is also limited by remaining maxItems; duplicates do not refill it. Source exhaustion, time or charge limits can return fewer rows. See SEARCH_SUMMARY for truncation.
Stop after this many normalized dataset records across all queries.
