Google Merchant Feed Auditor

Audit a Google Merchant Center product feed before upload or after a feed-generation change. The Actor accepts XML, CSV, or TSV from a public URL or pasted content and returns one deterministic audit row per product.

What it checks

• Required core attributes: id, title, description, link, image_link, price, and availability
• Duplicate product IDs
• HTTP(S) product, image, mobile, additional-image, and 2026 video_link URLs
• Price syntax and ISO 4217 currency codes
• Supported availability and condition values
• GTIN-8, GTIN-12, GTIN-13, and GTIN-14 length and check digits
• GTIN, brand, MPN, and identifier_exists conflicts or gaps
• Preorder/backorder availability-date warnings
• Google title and description length limits

The output is suitable for CSV/Excel export, n8n, Make, Zapier, scheduled Apify Tasks, and CI checks around a feed generator.

Input

Provide exactly one of:

• feedUrl: a public HTTP(S) XML, CSV, or TSV URL
• feedContent: pasted feed content, up to 10 MB

Set format to auto or force xml, csv, or tsv. maxProducts defaults to 1,000 and is capped at 10,000.

Never paste passwords, API keys, cookies, private customer data, or signed feed URLs. Local, private, loopback, link-local, and obvious internal hostnames are rejected.

Output

The default dataset contains one row per audited product:

• status: pass, warning, or error
• error and warning counts
• stable issue codes
• detailed field-level messages
• GTIN values and valid-GTIN count
• source format and audit time

The default key-value store record OUTPUT contains the feed-level summary and issue-code totals.

Pricing

• Actor start: $0.00005
• Each product row audited: $0.001

Example: auditing 1,000 products costs about $1.00, plus Apify platform usage. The Actor does not charge per warning or error.

Important limits

This is a deterministic technical preflight based on Google’s public product data specification. It is not a Google approval, ad-performance, policy-compliance, or suspension-prevention guarantee. It does not compare your feed with landing pages, checkout, Merchant Center account settings, shipping, tax, or private account diagnostics. Never fabricate identifiers to silence a warning.

The 2026 specification update added video_link and began technical validation in April 2026, with serving and policy/quality validation beginning June 30, 2026. This Actor validates only the field’s URL shape; Google remains the authority on eligibility and policy decisions.
