AITopTools Scraper
Export individual tools from AITopTools directory pages. Each row contains the tool's name, directory URL and its own description, plus the page you requested. Category navigation such as “Browse Tools” is excluded.
Use this for a dated discovery list or to compare tool descriptions between observations. Directory placement, sponsored labels and vendor descriptions are not independent product reviews.
Quick start
Open the tested three-tool example, or run this input:
{"searchUrls": ["https://aitoptools.com/"],"maxResults": 3}
The Actor reads the public response over HTTP. It accepts individual /tool/<slug>/ records from structured data or tool cards. It uses the card heading as the title and the card's description paragraph as the description. It does not join descriptions from neighboring cards.
Input and scope
| Input | Meaning |
|---|---|
searchUrls | One or more AITopTools directory or category pages. The homepage is the default. |
maxResults | Maximum records per input page, from 1 to 1,000. This is a cap, not a guarantee that the page exposes that many tools. |
The Actor reads the supplied pages only. It does not click “load more,” follow every category, visit the vendor's own website or execute the listed tools. Repeated placements on one page are deduplicated by the directory URL. If the same tool appears on two supplied pages, both observations can be returned so their input pages remain attributable.
Example output
This record was observed on September 11, 2026. The description is the directory's wording; it is not an endorsement.
{"source": "aitoptools-ai-tools-scraper","kind": "AI tools","index": 1,"title": "Atoms","url": "https://aitoptools.com/tool/atoms/","description": "AI vibe business team that turns your ideas into business.","input_url": "https://aitoptools.com/","source_url": "https://aitoptools.com/"}
| Field | Interpretation |
|---|---|
title | Tool heading, without price, rating or sponsored text appended. |
url | Individual AITopTools record; this is not necessarily the vendor's website. |
description | That card's description, capped at 1,500 characters; null when absent. |
source, kind, index | Source identifier, record type and one-based position in this page's export. |
input_url, source_url | Requested page and final response URL after redirects. |
company, raw | Optional fields from qualifying structured records. They are not guaranteed for HTML cards. |
There are no normalized rating, price, category or contact fields. Do not infer those values from the tool's title. A record on the first page does not prove that the tool is free, recently launched, working or popular with paying users.
Export and compare
Download JSON or CSV from the run's dataset, or retrieve it through the Apify dataset API. Keep input_url and source_url with every row. For a history table, use the directory URL plus your observation timestamp as the key. For a current shortlist, deduplicate by url.
Compare the description only when you have two successful observations of the same URL. A missing row can mean a different featured selection or a result cap; it does not establish that the product closed. Store the earlier record until you have direct evidence for removal.
Pricing
The existing Free-tier price is $2.50 per 1,000 saved results, plus the existing Actor start event. Bronze through Diamond have progressively lower result prices. The Pricing tab is authoritative for your plan and the memory-dependent start charge.
For a bounded first run, use the public example with three results and a maximum total charge. Multiple input pages can each produce up to maxResults; size the cap for the whole run. An inaccessible page may still incur a start charge even when it produces no result events.
Failures and support
If a source page cannot be fetched after the bounded request attempts, the run fails explicitly. Valid rows saved from earlier pages remain in the dataset. A successful empty page does not prove that the entire directory is empty; inspect the requested page and run log before making a downstream deletion.
The September 11 parser correction removes exported navigation and keeps descriptions within their own cards. Existing input fields, dataset view and prices are preserved. If a layout change causes missing or incorrect items, open an issue with the public page URL and the fields you expected. Share a run through Apify's debugging controls when needed; keep credentials out of public issues.

Hugging Face Spaces Scraper collects public Space cards. Its account and application URLs describe a different source; matching a tool name across the two directories does not establish common ownership.
