Scrape public job openings from company career sites hosted on Personio. Paste one or more jobs.personio.de or jobs.personio.com URLs and receive structured job records with the title, company, office, department, employment type, seniority, schedule, experience range, complete public description sections, job URL, and direct application link.
The Actor is built for recruitment research, job aggregation, competitive hiring intelligence, lead generation, and recurring career-site monitoring. It uses Personio's public XML feed when available and falls back to server-rendered career cards on newer site versions. No Personio account, employer credentials, or private applicant data is required.
Why Personio career data matters
Thousands of European companies use Personio to publish vacancies. The public career sites are individually searchable, but tracking many employers manually is slow and inconsistent. A structured company-by-company feed makes it possible to monitor hiring demand, identify relevant vacancies, follow department growth, and power niche job products without maintaining a separate parser for every employer website.
Common workflows include:
- monitoring target companies for new openings;
- building a regional or industry-specific job board;
- tracking hiring activity by department and location;
- collecting direct apply links for candidate alerts;
- creating sales signals from company expansion;
- comparing job titles, seniority, and office distribution;
- feeding job records into Make, Zapier, n8n, Sheets, or a database;
- archiving public descriptions for longitudinal labor-market analysis.
Input
Provide the public base URL for each Personio career site. The Actor accepts both the legacy .de and current .com domains.
{"careerSiteUrls": ["https://personio.jobs.personio.de","https://ijgd-1.jobs.personio.de"],"language": "en","includeDescriptions": true,"maxResultsPerSite": 50}
Input fields
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
careerSiteUrls | One or more public Personio company career-site URLs. |
language | Feed language such as en, de, fr, or es. |
includeDescriptions | Include the complete public description sections when the XML feed provides them. |
maxResultsPerSite | Maximum records saved from each company site. |
The default points to Personio's own public career site and uses a bounded result limit. Invalid domains and oversized inputs are rejected before crawling.
Output
Each default-dataset item represents one unique job at one company. Fields can include:
- stable public Personio job ID;
- title, company, and company-site slug;
- primary office and additional offices;
- department and recruiting category;
- employment type, seniority, and schedule;
- expected years of experience;
- occupation and occupation category;
- source creation timestamp;
- normalized full description and section headings;
- public job URL and direct
#applyURL; - source mode (
personio_xmlorpersonio_html), career-site URL, and scrape timestamp.
Example output:
{"id": "1834171","title": "Staff Software Engineer, Data Platform","company": "Personio SE & Co. KG","office": "Munich","additional_offices": ["Berlin"],"department": "Product and Tech","employment_type": "permanent","seniority": "experienced","schedule": "full-time","url": "https://personio.jobs.personio.de/job/1834171?language=en","apply_url": "https://personio.jobs.personio.de/job/1834171#apply"}
XML and HTML modes
Personio has more than one public career-site generation. Legacy-compatible sites expose a structured XML feed containing rich metadata and description sections. The Actor requests that feed first because it is fast and precise. If the feed is absent or contains no positions, the Actor fetches the public career homepage and extracts available job cards instead.
The source field tells downstream workflows which path produced the row. XML records generally contain more fields. HTML fallback records preserve the public job identity, title, card text, and URLs rather than failing the entire company run.
Monitoring workflow
For repeat monitoring:
- save your company list as an Apify Task;
- schedule it daily or weekly;
- retain the job ID plus company slug as a stable key;
- compare the latest run with the previous dataset;
- notify a recruiter, candidate, analyst, or sales team only when a new key appears.
This produces a focused signal instead of repeatedly sending the full open-job list. Webhooks can forward completed runs to your existing automation system.
Lead and market intelligence
Hiring activity is a useful business signal. New engineering, sales, finance, or operations roles can indicate expansion, a new market, or a product investment. Combine Personio output with lawful company enrichment to prioritize research. A public job post is not consent to unrelated outreach, so follow applicable privacy, marketing, and platform rules.
Pricing
This Actor uses transparent pay-per-event pricing: one small start event and one result event for each unique job stored in the default dataset. Its $0.005 start and $0.001 result price is designed for recurring multi-company monitoring. Duplicate company/job IDs within one run are removed before storage.
Reliability and scope
The Actor uses public Personio career surfaces through lightweight HTTP requests with retries and strict company/result limits. It does not access employer dashboards, candidate records, application submissions, or login-only data. The default input is expected to finish quickly with non-empty output, which supports Apify's automated reliability checks.
Career-site owners can close or move vacancies at any time. The dataset is a run-time observation, not a guarantee that an opening is still available. Verify the final vacancy and application requirements on the linked company page.
FAQ
Do I need a Personio API key?
No. This Actor reads public career-site data, not the private employer API.
Can I scrape multiple companies?
Yes. Add each public Personio career-site base URL to the input list.
Does it include full job descriptions?
Yes when the public XML feed exposes them and includeDescriptions is enabled. Newer HTML-only sites may provide fewer fields.
Can I choose German or another language?
Yes. Set the language code. Availability depends on the employer's published translations.
Does it collect applicant data?
No. It only reads public job postings and never opens private HR records.
Can I export CSV or Excel?
Yes. Open the dataset and choose JSON, CSV, Excel, XML, RSS, or the API endpoint.
Why did one company return no jobs?
The company may have no current openings, may use a different career-site host, or may have migrated away from Personio. Verify the base URL in a browser.
How do I report an issue?
Open an issue on the Actor page with the career-site URL and run ID. If the Actor saved you time, please leave a Store review; reviews help users compare tools and help prioritize maintenance.
