Why did it keep running even after it had finished scraping????!!!

This actor kept running for 15 hours even though it had finished scraping my mere 573 results costing me over $20!!! that's absolutely insane!! Complete rip off!!!! I honestly feel scammed here, which is a shitty feeling on this platform. I just don't understand why it didn't stop even after the scrape was complete. makes absolutely no sense. Truly disappointed with this. Going to bed with $34 dollars of credit and waking up with only $10 because of a failure for your actor to stop running even after it had completed the scrape is truly a scam. How do I even go about asking for my money back? is it with you the developer or with Apify the platform? Seriously disappointed with this. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Hello. It didn’t run properly cos I had to press abort when I woke up in the morning after it had been running for 15 hours.
Also, I used your 1 day free trial, which I cancelled in time for it not to be charged.
All of the costs are from the actor not Apify from what I can see. It was the actor run costs that I have been charged for, so that goes directly to you, no?

No our charge only monthly fixed ..not other cost from our side.. if you are in free trial we did not get anything.

- The Actor developer will review your issue and evaluate whether your compensation request is valid.
- If approved, the Actor developer will create a compensation request for our support team.
- The Apify support team will then process the compensation, which will be added as credits to your account.
- You'll receive a gift invoice and notification once the compensation is processed.
Note that Actor developers can only approve the compensation, but the actual refund must be processed by our support team. Since you've already completed the first step, you just need to wait for the developer's response on the issue you created.
Please can you confirm with Apify that my compensation request from them is valid.

Yes, but I need you to approve that this is a valid compensation request. The actor should have finished scraping at 500+ entries when it was finished but it continued running all through the night. So please create a compensation request for the support team.

There is no running after your abort actor... From my end nothing possible anytime.

I don't think you understand. Let me explain clearly to you.
- Actor continued running even after it finished scraping costing me $24 for a scrape that should have been less than $0.10 cents (500+ entries).
- You said you did not get any of this money. It was Apify who charged me for this.
- I want a refund from Apify.
- You need to confirm it's a valid compensation request.
- You need to create a compensation request to the Apify Support Team.
- Apify will refund my $24.

i cannot confirm..because actor is not running after you abort as per log.. how i tell you , you need to confirm with apify team.

but actor finish time : 2025-06-07 06:39:41
means 5 hour run more as already abort by user.
i can confirm this..but i cannot create any other request you need to create this same.

we just update our tool with some improvement so less charges will go.

I appreciate you replying to my messages, but this still doesn't solve my refund issue.
You need to start a chat with the Apify Support AI BOT and choose the 'Request user credit compensation' option.

Please do this process so that my refund can be processed by Apify.

It clearly states in the step-by-step instructions that it is the actor developer who needs to start the proceedings with the refund request. Please can you do this. Read the attached link to give you step-by-step very clear instructions on what you need to do.
