A daily feed of newly announced startup and private-company funding rounds. Each record gives you the company, the round, the amount, the lead investors, the headquarters and the industry, plus a link to every source the record was compiled from. For US companies, the record is matched to the company's own SEC Form D filing when one exists.

A Crunchbase alternative built only from public news, companies' own announcements and SEC filings: no account, no cookies, and no scraping of paid databases.

What you get

Every record contains:

  • Company: name, website, the LinkedIn page, X account and careers page linked from the company's own website, one-line description, industry, NAICS 2022 code, tags, business model, founded year, employee count (when reported), HQ city, state and country, whether it is a listed company, and a stable company id.
  • Round: stage (and whether the source named it), financing type (equity, debt, mixed, convertible or grant), amount with its original currency and qualifier ("up to", "more than"), an approximate USD amount, the valuation and the company's total funding to date when they were reported, and what the company says it will use the money for.
  • Investors: every named investor in the round, lead investors marked, each with a stable id you can join on.
  • Dates: when the round was announced, when we first saw it, and when the record last changed.
  • Sources: the link, publisher, title and date of every report of the round.
  • SEC Form D (US companies, when matched): filing date, date of first sale, offering and sold amounts, number of investors, and a link to the filing.

Why this feed

  • Verifiable. Every record links to its sources, so you can check any figure in one click.
  • Everything in one row. Company details, investors and lead investors come with the round, so there is no second lookup to pay for.
  • One record per round. A round reported by several outlets is merged into a single record that keeps all the links.
  • Equity and debt kept apart. A credit facility is not counted as a Series C.
  • Lead investors marked, not just a list of names.
  • Listed companies left out by default, so the feed stays about startups and private companies. Tick a box to include them.
  • Optional SEC-only signals. Likely US startups that filed a Form D without any press coverage, at a lower price.

How to use it

  1. Pick a date range. Leave it empty for the last 7 days.
  2. Narrow it down by round, amount, industry, or HQ country and state.
  3. For a running feed, tick Only new since my last run and schedule the Actor daily. Each run returns only what that monitor has not delivered before, including rounds reported late. Tick Also send updated records (free) as well to get a record again, at no charge, when we later add its SEC Form D filing, another source or other details. It comes with "isUpdate": true, so match it on id to update your copy.
  4. Export to JSON, CSV or Excel, or read the dataset through the Apify API and integrations.

Max records caps every run, so a run never costs more than you intended. It is 20 by default, so a first try costs at most $1 in records. Raise it when you want more.

Pricing

You pay per record returned, plus Apify's tiny run-start fee:

RecordPrice
Funding round from the news$0.05
SEC Form D filing without news coverage (optional)$0.02

Updated records sent again to a monitor (Also send updated records) are free. A run that finds nothing new costs nothing in records. Besides Max records, a maximum charge set for the run also caps its cost: the Actor stops there.

Data, coverage and limits

  • Sources. Public news reporting in English, companies' own funding announcements on their websites (found through the open news index of the GDELT Project), and SEC EDGAR Form D filings. The data is refreshed twice a day.
  • Coverage. Strongest for US companies. Companies elsewhere are included when English-language outlets report their rounds. From August 2025 to October 2026 that was about 40 to 120 news-reported rounds a month, plus 300 to 430 SEC-only Form D signals a month.
  • History. From August 2025 onward, filled in from the original news reports and SEC filings.
  • Headquarters. More than half of the news reports we use do not say where a company is based. We fill it from the company's Form D when we can match one, or from its own website when the site states its headquarters. Use Keep rounds without a known HQ if you filter by country or state and do not want to miss those.
  • Not guessed. A field the sources do not state is left empty. The exceptions are the classifications (industry, NAICS code, tags, business model), which describe what the company does.
  • Currencies. Amounts in other currencies are converted to approximate USD with the European Central Bank reference rate of the announcement date. The original amount and currency are always included.
  • Form D matches are shown only when the company name, amount and dates agree closely. A Form D is usually filed a week or two after the news (it is due 15 days after the first sale), so the link is often added a few days after the record first appears. We keep checking for 45 days after the announcement.

What counts as a funding round

Included: equity rounds from pre-seed to late stage, convertible notes and SAFEs, venture debt and credit facilities, and grants.

Left out: acquisitions, IPOs and follow-on offerings, bonds and notes of listed companies, securitizations, loans on buildings or real-estate portfolios, and venture or private equity firms closing their own funds.

FAQ

How fresh is the data? It is updated twice a day, so a new report from our sources is picked up within about 12 hours.

Can I monitor a niche? Yes. Set your filters, tick Only new since my last run, give the monitor a name, and schedule it. Different names keep separate memories.

Is this investment advice? No. It is a compilation of publicly reported facts, with links to the sources.
