❓ FAQ

What types of URLs can I provide?

Search, category, and product (detail) page URLs from www.namshi.com for Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman, in Arabic (-ar) or English (-en). Any path after the country and language segment is treated as a category, except product pages, which end in /p/. A product URL returns that single product.

Can I use filters?

Yes. Apply the filters on Namshi, then copy the resulting URL, for example one with a brand filter, and use it as a start URL.

How does maxItems work?

It applies to each start URL separately. Two start URLs with maxItems set to 50 can return up to 100 products.

Do I need a proxy?

Not by default. If you run into blocks on large runs, enable a proxy in proxyConfiguration.

Which language are the results in?

The language of the URL you provide. Use -en URLs for English and -ar URLs for Arabic.

Why did a page return no results?

Some URLs are not product listings, so they have no product list to read. The scraper logs that no data was found and moves on.
