Website Contact & Email Extractor

Give it a list of company websites. Get back emails, phone numbers, street addresses, and social profiles — one clean row per company, never duplicated.

An email scraper and contact scraper for building lead lists from domains you already have: a CRM export, a conference attendee list, a directory scrape, a list of local businesses, a competitor's customer page.

What this Actor does

For every domain you give it, this Actor:

  1. Reads the homepage.
  2. Finds and follows up to two likely contact pages — /contact, /about, /team, /get-in-touch, and similar.
  3. Pulls every email address, phone number, street address, and social profile it finds across all of them.
  4. Merges everything into a single row per company and returns it.

That last step matters. Most contact scrapers return one row per page, so a company with a homepage, a contact page, and an about page produces three rows with overlapping data that you then have to de-duplicate yourself — and, on pay-per-result pricing, three rows you paid for.

This one aggregates first. 85 domains in, 85 rows out.

What it filters out

Contact scrapers are notorious for returning garbage. This one strips it before you ever see it:

  • Tracking-script junksentry.io, wixpress.com, @2x.png, example@example.com, and the rest of the noise that regex-matches as an email but isn't one
  • Template placeholder phone numbers111-111-1111, 555-555-5555, 123-456-7890, repeated-digit dummies left in by theme developers
  • Duplicate rows for the same company

Why use it

Lead list building. You have 500 domains and no contact details. This turns that into a working outreach list in one run.

CRM enrichment. Export the accounts in your CRM with missing contact fields, run them through, re-import.

Sales prospecting. Any list of companies — a directory, an industry association member page, a "our customers" logo wall — becomes contactable.

Agency and recruiter research. Find who to talk to at a target company when the org chart isn't public.

Verifying your own data. Run your existing contact list through and compare. In a production run of 85 companies this Actor found published addresses that had been missed by hand-checking, and flagged two companies whose listed email was on the wrong domain entirely.

How much does it cost?

Pricing is pay per result: $25.00 per 1,000 results. One result equals one company with all its contact data merged — not one per page crawled. Platform usage, compute and bandwidth are included.

The Apify Free plan includes $5 in credits every month = 200 companies enriched per month, free.

For comparison, per-contact enrichment services typically charge between $0.10 and $1.00 per contact. This is 2.5 cents per company, and it returns every address on the site rather than a single guess.

How to extract contact details from a list of websites

  1. Click Try for free at the top of this page.
  2. Open the Input tab and paste your list of company website URLs. Use Bulk edit to paste hundreds at once, one per line.
  3. Click Start.
  4. When the run finishes, open the Output tab.
  5. Export as CSV, JSON, Excel, or HTML, or pull the data straight from the Apify API.

Filter on hasAnyContact to drop dead domains, and sort by emailCount to find the companies that publish the most ways to reach them.

Input

Website Contact & Email Extractor takes a single input field — startUrls, a list of company website URLs. Click the Input tab for the full schema.

This Actor collects only business contact information that a company has published on its own website for the express purpose of being contacted — a contact@ address on a contact page, a phone number in a footer, a public social profile.

It does not log in, does not bypass access controls, and does not collect private personal data such as individual user records or addresses that were not published.

Business contact data is treated differently from personal data in most jurisdictions, but not all, and the distinction is not always clean — an owner-operator's firstname@ address may be personal data under GDPR. If you are contacting people in the EU or UK, GDPR applies to how you store and use what you collect; in the US, CAN-SPAM governs commercial email. Honour opt-outs, and if you are unsure whether your use case is legitimate, ask a lawyer.

Tips

  • Include the protocol (https://) on every URL.
  • Fewer, better pages beats more pages. This Actor deliberately caps itself at the homepage plus two likely contact pages. That keeps cost per company low and avoids dragging in blog-author addresses that aren't the contact you want.
  • primaryEmail is a best guess. It prefers role addresses like info@, contact@, sales@ over personal ones. Check the full emails array before a high-value send.
  • hasAnyContact: false is a finding, not a failure. A local business with no phone number anywhere in its markup is invisible to voice search and "call the nearest…" queries. That's a sales conversation.
  • Watch for off-domain emails. If primaryEmail sits on a different domain than domain, something is wrong on their end — a leftover template, or an acquisition that never got cleaned up. In one production run this surfaced a mechanical contractor whose only homepage email link routed to an entirely different company.

Local Business Website Auditor — run the same URL list through it and get back every provable defect on each site: dead call buttons, broken email links, stale copyright, missing structured data. Pair the two and a list of domains becomes a list of qualified leads with a reason to call and someone to call.
