See where apps actually stand: top charts and search rankings from both stores in one table. Pick charts (top free, paid, grossing), keywords, countries and categories, and download position, app, developer, price, rating and store link as JSON, CSV or Excel — or pull them through the API into your own ASO dashboard.

Track your own apps and the Actor keeps only their positions, and tells you in the run summary every chart and keyword where they did not rank at all.

Why this Actor

  • Both stores in one table. Chart and keyword positions for the App Store and Google Play with identical fields — one run instead of two ASO tools.
  • Answers the ASO question directly. Put your app ids in Track only these apps and every run returns just your positions, plus a list of the keywords where you did not rank at all.
  • Per country and per genre. Every store front is a separate ranking, so you can watch ten markets on a schedule and see them move.
  • Cheap enough to run daily. A position costs $0.001; a 100-position chart in five countries is half a cent.

Sample output

One item of the dataset (long values shortened):

{
"platform": "google",
"source": "chart",
"chart": "free",
"keyword": null,
"country": "us",
"rank": 1,
"appName": "Muse from Meta",
"developer": "Meta Platforms, Inc.",
"score": 4.707619,
"url": "https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.facebook.aura"
}

What you get

  • Both stores, one schema — no separate ASO tool per platform
  • Top free / top paid / top grossing, overall or per genre and category
  • Keyword rankings in store search order, per country
  • "Where do my apps rank?" mode: track app ids, package names or parts of a name
  • Ratings and prices as the store publishes them
  • Monitored daily

Input

  • Stores — App Store, Google Play or both.
  • Top charts — any of free, paid, grossing. Leave empty to only track keywords.
  • Keywords — search terms, ranked in store search order.
  • Track only these apps — App Store ids (310633997), Google Play package names (com.whatsapp) or a piece of the app name.
  • Countries, Language (Google Play), App Store genre id, Google Play category, Positions per ranking.

Limits and notes

  • App Store charts return at most 100 positions per country and genre; App Store search returns at most 200 results.
  • Apple rate-limits its public endpoints at roughly 20 requests a minute — the Actor paces itself, so many countries × many keywords take a few minutes.
  • App Store charts do not publish ratings; Google Play does. Rating fields are null where the store does not provide them.
  • Rankings are what the store shows to a visitor from that store front without a personal history — the same list you would see in a fresh browser, not a personalised one.

How much does it cost?

Pay per position — no subscription, no minimum, no charge for platform usage.

VolumePrice
1,000 positions$1.00
10,000 positions$10.00
100,000 positions$100.00

The Apify free plan includes $5 of usage every month — about 5,000 positions with this Actor, no card needed. Nothing else is charged: platform usage is included in the price, and Apify Bronze, Silver and Gold subscribers get 10%, 20% and 30% off these prices.

Use it from code, n8n, Make, Zapier or an AI agent

Run the Actor and download the dataset in one call (JSON by default; add &format=csv or xlsx):

curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/chorelet~app-rankings-scraper/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=$APIFY_TOKEN" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"platforms": ["apple", "google"], "charts": ["free"], "keywords": ["meditation"], "countries": ["us"], "language": "en", "maxResults": 50}'

Python:

from apify_client import ApifyClient
client = ApifyClient("YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN")
run = client.actor("chorelet/app-rankings-scraper").call(run_input={"platforms": ["apple", "google"], "charts": ["free"], "keywords": ["meditation"], "countries": ["us"], "language": "en", "maxResults": 50})
for item in client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).iterate_items():
print(item)
  • n8n, Make, Zapier — use the Apify node/module: run the Actor, then "get dataset items".
  • Google Sheets, Slack, webhooks — add an integration on the run's Integrations tab.
  • AI agents — the Actor is available as a tool through the Apify MCP server; the dataset schema describes every field for the model.
  • Schedules — run it hourly, daily or weekly from the Schedules tab.

FAQ

How do I track my own app's keyword rank?

Put the keywords in Keywords and your App Store id or Google Play package name in Track only these apps, then schedule the Actor daily. Each run stores one row per keyword where the app ranks, and the SUMMARY lists the keywords where it did not appear in the top results.

How deep do the rankings go?

App Store charts go to 100 positions per country and genre, App Store search to 200 results, Google Play charts and search to several hundred. Set Positions per ranking to what you need — you pay per row.

Can I rank a single category?

Yes. Use an App Store genre id (6014 Games, 6013 Health & Fitness, 6002 Utilities, 6000 Business) and a Google Play category (GAME, HEALTH_AND_FITNESS, PRODUCTIVITY, FINANCE).

Are these the same numbers paid ASO tools show?

They come from the same public store endpoints the stores serve to visitors. Paid tools add estimates of downloads and revenue, which no public source publishes — this Actor reports only what the stores actually show.

Why is a rating empty?

App Store chart feeds do not include ratings. Run the keyword mode, or the App Details Actor, when you need ratings for App Store apps.

Support

Questions, missing fields or a source that changed? Open an issue on the Issues tab or write to support@chorelet.app — problems are usually fixed within a day, and the Actor is checked every morning by an automated test run. If the Actor saved you time, a short review on its Store page helps other people find it.
