How are scraped posts determined?

I was just wondering how the scraped sample is generated? Say I want 100 posts from the #career. Does it pull the top 100 posts from the #career page, or does it randomly collect posts from the #career page until it reaches 100? Sorry if this is described somewhere on the info page, and i just missed it. Any info is helpful--thanks!
Hi, thanks for opening this issue!
Basically, it does both - by nature TikTok displays the top performing posts for some past interval (don't know specifically, but let's just estimate a day or two for more popular hashtags) and shows them to users in a bit randomized, but still relatively sorted order. Our anonymized scraper runs multiple hashtag scrapes at once to increase the number of results, so the results are subjected to the randomness even further.
So you could say the results we get here are the currently popular ones, just not sorted.
