Search for 'Kw,' but the results do not seem precise

I'm using a TikTok scraper tool and entering my search query with the keyword I want to search for. I also set the proxy to the United States, but the results seem off. I'm seeing a lot of videos from different locations, like Brazil, Colombia, and even Malaysia and India. I've tried entering both hashtags and keywords, but the results are still the same.
Am I misunderstanding how this tool works, or is there something I'm missing? I could really use some help with this.
Hello, thank you for opening this issue. Unfortunately, this is due to TikTok API. As a company policy, we don't scrape behind login, so TikTok's algorithm can be extremely generic for some keywords. This algorithm is (very) loosely connected to the IP location but it's not the determining factor. The proxy country is there to let you access videos that are geo-blocked (i.e. videos that can be seen only from specific countries).
