trying to set a time period to scrape specific videos didn't work

Hello! I tried to set a time period (this year to the current date) that the videos I wanted to scrape were from, but for some reason that wasn't possible. In the profile section, I tried setting the days for “Scrape profile videos from the last [X] days” and when that didn't work because I was even getting videos from early 2023, I tried again by setting the date for “Scrape profile videos newer than [date]” to 31.12.2023 but I was still getting videos from before that date. And then I tried setting both the days and the date, which didn't work either.

I can't imagine there aren't 100 videos posted with the hashtag I'm looking for. So I wanted to ask if I'm doing something wrong, or if you can explain why this is happening?

Hi Valentina, thanks for opening this issue!

This feature is only available for videos under profiles, as those are sorted by date, not hashtags. Search for hashtags is displayed in a random order, so implementing a custom date filter for these wouldn't make much sense without the sorting.

We are planning to add this feature in once we successfully reverse-engineer and implement TikTok's mobile app. The app supports sorting hashtags by the upload date and many more :)

Development on this already took and still will take some time. I will keep you updated here in the meantime, thanks!
