What does SEEK Job Scraper do?

SEEK Job Scraper extracts publicly visible job-listing data from SEEK Australia and SEEK New Zealand. It supports bounded keyword searches, country-aware filters, pagination, and direct public job URLs.

Why use SEEK Job Scraper?

Use the Actor for recruiting research, salary benchmarking, hiring-market analysis, and scheduled monitoring of public listing metadata. Search results are deduplicated by SEEK job ID and limited by a global maxJobs value. You can start from a later result page, follow visible pagination, or inspect up to 20 known public job URLs. Apify provides run history, scheduling, API access, dataset exports, and integrations around the Actor; those platform features do not change SEEK's access controls.

How to scrape SEEK

  1. Open the Actor's Input tab and choose search or jobUrl mode.
  2. Enter keywords and, optionally, a location, country, work type, salary floor, or posted-date range.
  3. Set the global item limit and search-page limit. For direct mode, paste public /job/{numeric-id} URLs into startUrls.
  4. Click Start. Review the resulting dataset, or schedule or call the Actor through Apify when repeat collection is needed.

Input

See the input tab for the complete configuration. The runtime validator is authoritative and rejects invalid values.

Search and direct URLs

  • mode: search (default) or jobUrl.
  • keywords, searchQuery, query: search phrase aliases; keywords takes precedence, then searchQuery, then query. Default: software engineer; maximum 120 characters after whitespace normalization.
  • location: optional search location, maximum 100 characters.
  • country: au (default) or nz; direct URLs must match it.
  • jobType: empty, full-time, part-time, contract-temp, or casual-vacation.
  • salaryMin: optional integer from 0 to 2,000,000 in the selected local currency.
  • datePosted: 0, 1, 3, 7, 14, or 30 days; default 0.
  • startUrls, urls, url: compatibility aliases for one or more canonical public job URLs. jobUrl mode requires 1–20 numeric SEEK job URLs; duplicates are removed.
  • maxJobs, maxItems, maxProducts: compatibility aliases for the global output limit, 1–100; maxJobs wins. Default: 50.
  • maxPages: search pages to visit, 1–5, global across the run; default is the smaller of 5 and the pages needed for the item limit.
  • startPage: first search page, 1–100; default 1.

Output

You can download the dataset in various formats such as JSON, HTML, CSV, or Excel.

Tips and advanced options

Use startPage for incremental sampling and datePosted for a narrower window. Direct mode is useful when you already have public job URLs.

FAQ, support, and responsible use

Is this Actor affiliated with SEEK? No. It is an independent community Actor. Follow SEEK's terms, robots guidance, rate limits, privacy requirements, and applicable law. Our Actors do not extract private user data such as email addresses, gender, or private location; they extract only data made public by the source. Public job listings can still contain personal data, so use a lawful purpose and consult qualified legal counsel when unsure.

For bugs or feature requests, use the Actor's Issues tab and include a run ID and concise reproduction summary where possible. Use the API tab for programmatic runs and the run history for monitoring.
