Does this need a login or proxy? No. All data comes from Caring.com's public directory pages and JSON search API, plus the free OpenStreetMap geocoding API. No cookies, no paid proxy, no API key.

Is websiteUrl always reachable? detailUrl/sourceUrl (Caring.com's own pages) and images[] (Caring.com's own CDN) are always live. websiteUrl is the facility's own independently-operated website, scraped as-is from Caring.com's listing — like any third-party link, it can occasionally be down, DNS-broken, or bot-blocked on the facility's end, outside Caring.com's and this actor's control.

What if my city isn't found? The actor uses OpenStreetMap to resolve city names, which covers essentially every incorporated US city and town. Double-check spelling, or try the nearest larger city and increase maxDistanceMiles.

Why might a niche care type (e.g. CCRC) in a smaller market return fewer results than expected? Caring.com's own search backend occasionally under-serves very sparse category/location combinations (a handful of facilities) even though its own result-count metadata says more exist. The actor automatically retries with a smaller page size to recover as many as the backend will actually serve; this is an upstream data-availability quirk, not a scraping limitation.
