This Just Eat scraper reads the public UK restaurant search by postcode. Each dataset row is one restaurant: name, cuisines, star rating, review count, delivery fee, minimum order, ETA, and whether delivery is open. Use it as a Just Eat API alternative for that public list: export JSON to a dataset from Python, Node.js, or an MCP assistant.

Menus, customer reviews, and checkout prices are outside this Actor. A postcode search returns the public restaurant list for that area.

When to use

  • Pull the restaurants that deliver to a UK postcode, with fees and ratings
  • Compare delivery fees and ETAs across a short list of postcodes
  • Feed a research sheet or a pricing notebook from JSON

Restaurant menu pages are skipped. This Actor reads the postcode search, not a single menu.

Key features

  • UK postcode, outward code, or Just Eat area URL
  • Name, cuisines, star rating, review count, address, and coordinates
  • Delivery fee, fee bands, minimum order, and ETA
  • Open-now filter for delivery or collection
  • One row per restaurant, deduped across postcodes
  • HTTP fetch, 256 MB, no browser

A busy central postcode can list more than a thousand restaurants. maxItems caps how many rows are saved.

FAQ

Does this include the menu?
No. Each row is a restaurant from the postcode search. Menu items are not collected.

Is this a Just Eat API alternative?
It reads the public restaurant search and writes a JSON dataset. No login, and it does not call a partner order API.

Can I paste a restaurant page?
Restaurant pages are skipped. Use a postcode or an /area/ URL.

What if the postcode has no restaurants?
The run finishes and saves no rows for that postcode. Other postcodes in the same run still continue.

How many postcodes per run?
Up to 15. maxItems caps the combined rows. The default is 100.
